With getting this beer on tap 4 days in a row, I clearly thoroughly enjoyed it...

I love it too, you only appear to have a few more bottles than me.

Loyalty to a local store has it's rewards! Plus case discount (10%), brought this to about $210.

My post, which I thought was mighty mildly humorous, was determined to have been "not helpful", and deleted. Was it because of the no smilie?

Well, I'm back at Dakota Jazz (5th time this week) and this on tap is clearly better than the bottle i had last night; sweeter, no brett funk, no sour, just straight up delicious . confirmed with the bartender, this is a different keg then i had on Wednesday.

Hopefully my other bottles are more like this.

Opened a bottle. No sign of infection. I also say that I like this a lot more than I thought I would but I entered into this with the lowest expectations one could have for a $21 bottle. Be looking for this on-tap as well. Hopefully at least a bit less than a $1 per ounce.

I saw Firkins sold out in an hour or so, How??? Lake and Wine has no limit and They have at least 10 + cases left ? I'm not trying to bash firkins, but does the less "in the know" beer crowd only go there for releases? / Rant

Totally agree. One if many reasons i love lake wine. Surly bombers are always 19.99. No price gouging

Paul and the Lake and Wine staff are great... However, Im more alluding to the question of... how does a place sell out in roughly 3 hours when there are plenty of other popular (high traveled) stores that will have 8ght for weeks. It makes me wonder how much they actually bought ? I get they are a "beer destination," but still, just doesn't make sense to me. If you can turn your product over that fast, wouldn't you want more so you can sell more, or does saying "Hey look how fast we sell out of XXX beer " make them a "better" store. // rant 2

having a bottle now. There is a definite tartness on the nose, less so on the palate. It reminded me of another beer, and I finally figured it out about 1/2 bottle in:
Collage from Deschutes/HoTD. (I probably drank a case of that beer, loved it.)

I don't know if the Eight tartness is a sign of anything to come, or part of the intended flavor profile. But it's definitely there in my bottle and I wasn't expecting it. It'll be interesting to see if others pick up on it.

This is why i bought a case, and contemplated buying more. On tap is so damn good! Perfect for a cold winter night.

I'm going to open another bottle tonight, (since I just had it on tap today), and see if it was my taste yesterday or if the bottles are in-fact off.

Please report back! If bottles are good I am going to get many more. This beer exceeds my expectations by a lot!

As someone who was thinking the same thing, no not at all. Although I only had a small sample glass. I did think it was pretty sour tasting too actually...
