    As someone new to JA, but able to try Kiwi thanks to a kindly trader in this forum, is there any consensus on leaving the yeast in the bottle versus pouring it in? Drank the majority of it today sans yeast and found the brew quite nice, though with perhaps a slight aspirin bitterness in the finish. Drank the rest from the bottle, yeast and all, and thought it grew a touch sweeter, a touch creamier, and lost that aspirin-ish-ness. Obv., the solution is to do whatever floats your boat, but just thought I'd see what other folks are experiencing.

    @JacksAbbyBrewing any pro tips?:slight_smile:

    I'm paying about $6.50 a bottle here (at places that price ok), but this batch is spectacular. Get some. Great stuff. Worth it.

    Got two growlers filled on 10/31. Gave away pours to the neighbors on Halloween. Took the other growler to the Revs playoff game. Time for a refill for Thanksgiving

    Price OK = 30% over most area stores? You must be on the Westport side of Fairfield.

    Certainly just me, but this isn't doing it for me this year. Sadly.

    Not just you. This year's hop combo doesn't do it for me either, and I've been a big fan in prior years.

    I had it within a few days and it tasted too grassy and vegetal. I thought it might just need some time to settle in. Many IPAs that are too "green" do. It's not taken on a flavor profile I enjoy. Not implying it's bad because I've loved it in previous years, this one isn't for me though.

    I loved it the first year, liked it OK last year, does very little for me this year. I'll stick to my HU and Mass Rising.

    I find this beer incredibly average. No idea what all the fuss is about.

    Interesting. I had that problem with Fiddlehead Mastermind. Two whole 4-packs that were like liquid green vegetables (including for others who tried them). Yesterday had one from the third 4 pack I bought (same day, possibly different store) and it was much better. Found this year's Kiwi Rising to be stellar, not getting anything vegetal at all. Makes me wonder about consistency across the batch in both cases.

    I wasn't as wowed by Kiwi this year as years past. It used to be my favorite JA made, but either my palate has changed significantly over the past year or this year's batch just isn't up to snuff. fwiw, I got a growler filled at the brewery the 3rd day it was available and two bottles that I let sit for a week or so.
