Same here...shipping costs went up a whole lot according to Ken. That being said who is down to do a five year vertical with me!
I was just about to start a thread on this...can't believe it's been so quiet on the forums regarding this release. Ken just called me, too - can't wait to see what the 2014 version tastes like! We've come a long way since the Mother of All Debacles in 2011. Does anyone else remember that?
You can go to one of the events at the brewery - they were this past weekend, but they do it every year. OR, you can email and request to get on the waiting list for any extra cases they may have leftover after the release festivities.
credit card just got billed for my case...300 bones this year! That's around a dollar more per bottle than last year.
Yeah same with me. Fifth or sixth year getting a case and never an issue. Ken is the man btw. I've said it before I'll say it again. The single most pleasant person to deal with in the realm of customer service.
In 2011 they attempted to sell cases via their website at like midnight on thanksgiving...it crashed their website and you basically had to keep calling the next day if you wanted a case. It was not fun but if I do recall, they still had cases for a few days after and there was just a bit of hysteria that Friday. Ever since then it has been the put your name down in the summer and we will call you in November if we have extra cases.
This is the best non-retired* BW IMO** *King Henry **Haven't had ADWTD, but God-willing that will change soon.
