How is that? The only GoT beer I had was take the black, and it was a month ago or so. Actually... I think that, three philosophers, and chocolate indulgence are the only ommegang brews I've had

The milk stout didn't seem to work. Maybe the Lions need a little DIPA to get them to stop sucking

 

I might hop in the VBS in a few minutes... when going through and cataloging my beers, I realized one of them from this last locals round is still an IPA (for some reason I thought I had gotten through everything very "time sensitive" but one slipped under my radar) and tonight would be a way better night than pretty much any other day this coming week. Want to finish grading though so I'm not grading and drinking

 

It wasn't bad; at first I was getting more cardboard (oxidation) than anything, but after a minute or two the chile started to come through and was nice and the red ale backbone, though simple and not interesting at all, was executed well.

And it is the winner actually. No comparison.

 

As far as I can tell, the last bottle from locals round 3 that I should feel in a rush to drink (though the CEO stout seems like something I want to drink fairly soon also being at a pretty low ABV, I think that's not quite as pressing)

Only one for tonight since it's a bomber and it's 8%, still have SOME school related things to do, and don't want to be teaching hungover tomorrow lol

edit and holy SHIT this is good! Kinda a "sleeper hit" in the sense that when I first saw it I was like "interesting, but not a top priority to consume", but now that I'm drinking it... I'm mad at myself for not doing so sooner!

I'd have to say HF, still haven't had their beer yet but @mklisz did send me Clara and I have an Arthur. Just need to stop messing around. Others would be TG, and Cascade. Otherwise, I think I've been pretty good diversifying my hads

I love tailgating, or just drinking somewhere in general with out of distro beer. Even better when someone recognizes it or finds you via Untappd and you get to share with someone that appreciates craft.

 

I've been incredibly lucky with getting to travel around a decent bit and having some very well places beer friends (having a brother-in-law BA in Portland meant I ended up drinking through 8-10 DeGarde beers in one night alone...) so there aren't a huge number of breweries that I just haven't had anything from. Plenty of individual beers that I'm definitely in search of, but not a huge number of breweries that I've completely missed. Tired Hands, Tree House, Lawson's, and Side Project are basically it. Now, there are TONS of places that I've only had one or two of (Perennial, Prairie, Hill Farmstead, and Jack's Abbey probably sit at the top) that I want more of...

 

In their defense, though I don't know why I bother, they've never done a beer trade, let alone a BIF, so they really have NO idea what they're missing.
