they've been doing black friday releases for years, before they were with ABinbev

 

People keep saying this. In 2012 it was dropped in Chicago on 9/11:

People in other places were reporting purchases at the end of October. In Maine it dropped in mid-Novemeber, and looking back I bought some November 20th at Yankee Spirits. And it being in MA that late was due to some "distributor error" . Black Friday was Nov 23rd. Prior to that year I recall that it had been dropping in late October/early Nov. I think one year in there the variants were released on Black Friday in Chicago.

GI having a big Black Friday release for years is just revisionist history.

 

Inside the 128 belt Anheuser Busch owns its own distributor and distributes all Inbev stuff. The rest of the state is split I believe.

 

Any word on when BCBS and variants will hit shelf here in Boston? I see some solid info on the Wednesday/Friday events here, but little on the broader distro. Would appreciate anyone in the know chiming in!

 

Anyone know where the Wednesday tasting event/s are going to be?! I haven't seen any update on the Goose website or have seen any chatter.

 

Nope. This Wednesday we're tapping a keg of Mayflower Bourbon Barrel-Aged Porter. No plans for any Goose Island events in the foreseeable future.

 

Damn, why couldn't Mayflower toss some vanilla in that? The porter on cask with Vanilla is local gem, though I honestly forget the last time I had a pour.

 

Girlfriend and I will be in Boston next week and I was wondering if any of your folks could point me in the right direction as to where I can score some Bourbon County Stuff. I am willing to hit multiple stores assuming most will be 1 bottle limits on the 22oz bottles. Surely I could spent a bunch of time researching it but was hoping a few of you folks could point me in the right direction. We will most likely be staying somewhere downtown. Also I hope this is in the right forum but I assume beer talk is fair game. Thanks in advance.

Their beer selection is excellent, so even if they didn't have it the trip would not be wasted.

Good lord. No one in line before 7:30. If everyone shows up at 7:30, it'll be fine. I'm assuming no bottlesharing in line, so there'll be no way to dull the pain (of the cold, of the hangover from Thxgiving, of the knowledge that you're lining up before 8am for beer...)
