After your brewing can I have a taste? Im sure Andrew would be keen as well. We can all bring a sample of our own chilli sauce as well. Sweet Chilli and Sour Beers Night.... Actually no, I wouldnt be interested in that. I'm v. anti sweet chilli. Just the hot stuff for me. On that note, it seems a lot of us like hot sauces and flavour bomb beers. Is that the reason we're all into craft? Not for any idealistic purposes, but because for some genetic reason we need maximum flavour? It's almost as if we couldn't not like craft beers. Especially the hop bombs, the sours and the ball tearing stouts/porters. This is something you would normally post Mr Heygeebee, the philosophical questions...

Anyhoo, on topic. A middy of Colonial Porter. Yum Yum Yum. Im actually giddy with excitment awaiting the Baltic Porter they're making....

You will have to wait a while for any of my lambic to be ready.

I think Snoop has taken over your account Mr Danieelol. Welcome Mr Dogg.

Yesterday was a pint of TED's (I can still taste the metal - but the best option available), a JS Golden Ale (at a diff. pub - once again, best option available) and then I retreated to my craft beer lair to lick my taste bud wounds and gently sob at what I had allowed to pass my lips whilst having a few bottles of Hop Hog.

Indulging in some growler love. New shop nearby has a growler fill station and I managed three fills in about a month. Latest was Iron House Pale finished tonight. Hop bitterness is a tad harsh but a nice APA nonetheless.

I've seen more handpumps tonight with mulder1010 & spicelab than a trip to Manly....and they were in a church...Good visit to Golden Bear as well.

Last night was a bit cray having Invercargill Boysenberry, Sculpin, Emersons Southern Clam Stout, Utopias, Liberty West coast Blonde C!tra, Emersons Oreti Red IPA, Drie Fonteinen Life Gueuze, Chimay Blue 06, Tuatara Conehead and a fair few others.

I'm drinking a long neck of Emu Bitter (new recipe). It was the first beer I ever drank and I will always love it, but I'm so annoyed. It used to a wonderful 42IBU's, now it's TED's with less hops. Sad Face.

Then a Monteith's (dopplebock) Winter Ale, after that a Zywiec Porter (had it before, delicious) and then a whiskey to rinse my mouth out, before a 6er of Big Eye. Sort of reverse order, but this is what happens when your fridge doesnt work as well as it should.

It does indeed, but I'll be at work on the evening in question. I have some peeps in from out of town this weekend who will no doubt want to explore the City. See if I can't prod them in the general direction of this joint.

Drinking a Temple Bicycle Beer and enjoying a spot of egg and avocado on toast for breakfast. The beer suits the occasion but I don't love it or anything.

Hop Hog. The last 4 pack seemed a little too carbonated.

Hoptimum last night - was surprised the hops didn't jump out of the glass, but the malt backbone gave it body and balance to die for....

Lemon and Lime Powerade. I had too many SN Torpedos after work last night. They sunk my battleship.

Tonight, Guinness at happy hour, then home to enjoy some (6 bottles, thanks dad!) delicious Fuller's Brewer's Reserve while (hopefully) the Greeks do the Germans 1-0 (I have a tenner on it).

Beer Deluxe for work lunch, a Hop Hog and an Epic Armageddon. Think I'll relax with a Guinness during the football before moving to a Moylan's Imperial Stout a little later. We have the right weather for it.
