I know it is not as cheap as others mentioned, but Cuvee des Jacobins Rouge is an excellent choice. This is especially true considering its price point compared to other sours of its quality, which are typically in pricier 750 ml bottles. I also enjoy the fact that I don't have to crack open such a large bottle when I just want one glass of sour goodness.

If I spend 10 or 11 bucks on a 4 pack it better be something special that I normally can't get something similar in a 6 pack for the same price. For me the best beers in a 4 pack that are really interesting and worth the price come from Dogfish Head. There are others that I really like such as North Coast -old rasputy, and many of the Founders beers, but I seem to buy the most 4 packs from Dogfish Head. In my opinion you can't go wrong with any of their beers.

I found a four pack of Narwhal recently at my local grocery chain for $8.99. Also, picked up a 4 pack of Founders Harvest, Breakfast Stout, and Double Trouble all for $9.99, not at the same time of course Double Trouble was back in June or July. I think those are fairly solid deals. The Narwhal was a steal considering I had just paid $22 for a 750 ml of the BA Narwhal.

For me, it entierly depends on the beer. I'll buy four packs every now and then. Depending on how bad I want to try it, how good it's supposed to be, etc. They can get pricey, but that's the same thing as bombers. I usually try to stick to 6 packs or value bombers on sale.

Someone of Beer Advocate said breweries should convert 4 packs to 6 packs. And bombers to 4 packs. That would be awesome and a great idea. But that's not going to happen.

Had to fork over $15.99 for a 4 pak of Ten Fdy, which I thought was pretty steep, that is until I tried the 1st one. Amazing stuff, now I'm hooked!!
