Now THAT sounds lovely. I have never had the pleasure of LotLB so pretty pretty please keep me informed. REALLY looking forward to trying some and getting over to the Bull.

This is what is so absurd, they say "taking care of our home market" and what REALLY happens is everyone in Chicago gets a case (or 10) of all the variants to trade away because LESS beer makes it outside Chicago (it's not that everyone in Chicago NEEDS 10 cases/person it's more to the fact that they can trade it away). I'm not super upset about it, they can do what they want, but just don't expect me to like it, nor ignore the facts when I go to the liquor store and pass by the Goose Island beer...

    ^Basically what Domingo said....

And yes, I think Coloradans will find PLENTY of other beer to buy with Tweak, Liquid Brain, and 7 Crooked Stave beers coming out over the next 2 months.

Let's all just ask Avery to keep 1800/2000 cases of Tweak in Colorado next year.

I've read that some people are saying Tweak is even better than BCBCS. Definitely looking forward to trying it. We need more readily available competition to BCBS and it's variants that come in 12 oz format.

Wouldn't that be neat if the Brain was released on the same day?

Tweak is amazing. It's also more than 2x the cost of BCBCS. I need both in my life.

Heard from my local store he thought we would get healthy allocations of regular bcbs but he wasn't sure about the variants. Is some of it being produced in Fort Collins now? That's what dude said.

That's a bummer about no variants. But to be fair about the Chicago part, it's a big deal there. It gets new coverage. People do line up early in the morning and it's not like let walk out with a case of each. There are limits. I grew up there it was not that easy to get. The variants went super fast.

Imagine a line of people in camp chairs posted up outside Argonaut at 6am on Black Friday. Yeah it's like that there.

I guess it's technically possible however their barrel aging warehouse is in IL so I doubt it..

If you lined up at the Lincoln Park Binny's at 6am on Black Friday, you'd probably be number 500 or 600 in line. It's that crazy. I think people started the line last year at around 8-9pm the night before.

I just moved here from Chicago a couple months ago. I'm bummed out that we won't be getting the variants, but as it has been mentioned, there are so many other great beers here. I'll just set up a few pre-trades and get what I need that way.

Just sucks for them to enter our market with all the variants last year, and then pull them out of our market this year... when other markets outside Chicago are getting them.

I guess we just don't drink enough AB-InBev in CO so we're not a big enough market for them.... To the trading forum I go

While higher priced, if I'm going to give $ to the big boys, I prefer AC Golden anyway. Luckily they don't have the midwestern hype locomotive going for them or their beers might be $35 and trade for a 2nd born child.

I honestly didn't think it was all that awesome; I was surprised to like the barleywine the best (over the regular and coffee stout). I could give a shit if I get any this year or not.

We'll be doing the Black Friday event along with a tasting of the belgo-style G.I.'s here in the 'Ranch.
It wasn't too crazy last year. I mean, there was a decent line and all, but everybody was jovial and we all had a good time.

I don't know anything right now but on-sale time and that we're only getting the regular and the barleywine this time around. I'll let you know when we get the allotment.
