I picked up a bottle at 99 Bottles yesterday. Much easier to come all the way to Seattle to find it than the 3 BOTTLE per store distribution back home.

    Anything closer to Lynnwood yet?

Not here yet. We should be getting our cases late next week, or the week of Thanksgiving. We do have regular Narwhal and Terra Incognita though.

Lot of people mistakenly claiming they have seen it. I wonder how many people are buying the regular Narwhal thinking it's the barrel aged version?

That reminds me of that Beavis and Butthead episode where they get drunk on non-alcoholic beer.

I think people have the same confusion with Bigfoot and BA Bigfoot.

Those that confuse... Can go right ahead and confuse. Go at it. Those that know anything about beer know better.

Not sure where my post went..

I haven't seen thse at my typical Seattle spots (Chuck's, Beer Junction, Downtown Spirits, etc). Downtown expects to have it next week though.

I went down south to visit a friend and decided to stop at 99 bottles and Total Wine. 99 Bottles said it had come and gone, but Total Wine had quite a few. There were 4 left @ 14.99.

Yeah, when I asked about bottles of the BA version at Uptown Market they claimed they only had it on tap, but I was pretty skeptical given the 9.5% ABV listed on the board.

Funny thing is I called Total Wine in Bellevue and they were flummoxed when I asked about BA Narwhal ... gave me some line "it's not in our system so we probably won't be getting it" and then they refused to believe me that other Total Wine locations in WA got it. Crazy how mysterious a pretty large release from one of the largest craft brewers in the world can be ...

It's in Seattle, check the usual suspects; you may have to ask for it.

Lots on the shelf at Met in West Seattle last night @ $20 per bottle. Been there a couple days. At least at Met Market in West Seattle, anything over $10 for a bomber tends to sit for a while.

Feeling pretty good about that $14.99 find.

$15 is a great price. I passed on it at $20. I have a hard time paying $20 for something that has a pretty big national distrubution. If I'm going to pay more than $15 per bottle, it's generally gonna be something local to the NW that is a limited release. Fremont, Reuben's, etc.

That being said, if it's there again tonight when I stop by, who knows. I keep hoping it's gone but it keeps hanging around tempting me.

It was at Bottleworks yesterday and they were gone by the time I left. 1 bottle per household limit. I cannot recall the price. I think it was 20 dollars (I should have asked or looked at my receipt).

Didn't feel like making a new thread, but The Abyss hit 99 Bottles today and should be in Seattle tomorrow or early next week.
