I showed up at 7:30 and was roughly 120th or so in line. Still won a Rare in the raffle and walked out with a 4 pack of Coffee and Proprietors.

Man, who cares about BCBS? With all the other great BA beers hitting shelves here I'm not missing it.

I'm starting today off with Tweak, then follow with 2013 BCBS Coffee. Of course the BCBS is a year old so it's not a direct comparison. But it'll be close enough. A side-by-side will be fun. I'm guessing my findings of which I prefer will pretty much amount to : Both

This is a tough one. Going by taste alone as of how the beers tasted today, I would give the slight edge to Tweak. The year on the BCBS Coffee didn't do it any favors. I also opened up a KBS from the last batch, same thing, the coffee dies pretty quick.
Both are still great beers, but fresh, they're 10 times better. So it really isn't a fair comparison. I guess there's no way to get a fresh v fresh v fresh comparison.
Now if we start talking $, there is no way I would choose 1 Tweak over 2 fresh BCBS Coffee or KBS.

So I do care if BCBS Coffee comes, because - fresh - I most definitely want it, it's fabulous right off and I can get 2 compared to 1 Tweak $-wise. Tweak is fantastic, but it sure isn't twice as good

I love BCBS Coffee, but it has the same exact barrel flavor as all the BCBS series. I think that's why I'd lean towards Tweak... well that and because it's Avery (AND local) and not ABInBev

Curious on your thoughts of price per oz on this one. BCBS is $22 for 48oz, Tweak is $12 for 12 oz. That's a +65% difference. You seem to always throw the numbers in on discussions like this....

You're absolutely right. In that regard, I would lean towards BCBCS, but beer-to-beer, money aside, Tweak is more interesting to me.

There's about 1000 more pictures like this.

To be fair I guess, Avery had 1 case limit on Tweak.... that's still pretty awesome.

Just had my last bcbcs last night and i definitely should have opened it like four months ago. Whatever coffee was left had been overpowered by booze. Bummed that we're not getting any, guess I'm gonna have to load up on the Peche Mortel. Even though its not barrel aged, think it can stand against any coffee stout

I think I got 4 of the coffee's last year; I drank the first one the day I got them, and loved it, then had the other 3 over about 2 months. Maybe it was just first-time love, but I would swear it went significantly downhill over the 2 months. My guess is that it would be pretty mediocre after a year. It had only been bottled 1-2 weeks before I bought it, so it was very fresh to start.

Bringing the back on topic, Black Friday is quickly approaching and I haven't seen any release info from anyone other than Mr. B's (noon release 1 4-pack limit on BCBS and 1 bottle of BW).
