that punkaccino is sooooo good too. definitely has those pumpkin spices, but the creamy coffee comes though so good. one of my favorite pumpkins of the year (so far, i built a collection to try)

I had been thinking about the same thing as I have a little bit of most of the 2013 variants and was holding off on drinking any more until after Black Friday. And then today I got a call from a charity event I went to two months ago saying that the person that won a charity auction lot at the even hadn't picked it up so they were wondering if I wanted it since I had been bidding on it as well. The lot? At least one of Backyard Rye, Barleywine, Coffee, and base BCBS, plus glasses. Can't actually remember how many of each is in the lot, though there are multiples of some.

Haha, we actually have real wine stems, but sometimes my wife just wants to drink cheap wine out of a cheap wine glass

Personally I've been underwhelmed by the sours I've had from Almanac. Very one dimensional, and I always have trouble picking up the specific fruits that are added to their sour beers, but I know plenty of people who love them, so what do I know...

Now the Heirloom Pumpkin is awesome (when not infected), but I have a feeling this one is turning for the worse, so I'd encourage you to drink that one sooner than later...

Yeah I got a 4pk of BCBBW when it came out, figuring i'd have one fresh and then after 1, 3, and 5 years. Then I never drank the fresh one because I found it on tap a couple times.

I was considering making it 1, 3, 5, and 7 years out, but I think two of them at 1 year out is not over-indulging and it keeps me on my original pace... my apologies to the 2020 version of Kevin, who now won't have a 2013 BCBBW to drink.

Good lord man, there is about 0% chance of me being able to keep my hands off of something for 7 years. I'm doing well to age stuff for a 1-2 years.

Yeah, I need to open a couple soon to figure out whether or not I actually like them before picking more up. Evidently I have the Dark Pumpkin Sour from Almanac, not the Heirloom Pumpkin (unless I have Heirloom Pumpkin in the part of my cellar that I need to put shoes on for and I don't feel like it right now... which is possible).

As much as I've got sitting around, some of it might get that old by accident.... I'm also working on birth year boxes for my boys, who are 3 and 1. I'm going to do a 4 pack for each of them with a gueuze, a barleywine, a quad, and a stout. I've not made much progress, but so far I've got 2011 and 2013 Bigfoot, and 2013 Cantillon Classic Gueuze.

If anyone has a line on 2011 and 2013 Rochefort 10, 2011 and 2013 Avery Mephistopheles (or really any 12%+ imperial stout as long as the 2011 and 2013 match), or 2011 Cantillon Gueuze, please let me know

I have a decent bit of 2012 Avery stuff (Beast x2, Samuel), which doesn't help you much. However, I do happen to have a 2011 Mephistopheles as well... Unfortunately the wife is quite attached to it :slight_frown:

#VBS: Lagunitas Born Yesterday, courtesy of @HoppySeb in #notproperglassware. I have a Lagunitas shaker pint somewhere, but don't keep the shaker pints closeby. Russian River is the closest I have to Lagunitas so it gets the nod!

I hope its held up! It was unbelievable last Thursday when I had it for the first time! Cheers!

And while i'm at it - shoutout to @surlytwinsfan for this one:

'07 BCBS. Unbelievable how its really held up in its aroma (save for the presence of a faint soy sauce smell) - by this I mean, anyone who drinks it regularly(ish) could identify it as BCBS. The taste - as expected, has fallen a bit - bourbon is very faint and now has a bit of an oaky flavor to accompany it. Chocolate/fudge and marshmallows take the leading role in the palate. Mouthfeel is as viscous as you'd expect - the after taste is sweet but quickly dries up. @blue-dream (there you go, my friend)

    Cheers all!! #VBS
