I agree-and both craft beer drinkers and non-craft drinkers LOVE IT. It was on the news in Youngstown last year when it hit the shelves for goodness sake. Its definitely my husbands favorite christmas beer too. I've had it fresh, aged, on-tap, and I try it every year. I'm not going to say its a bad beer-but I don't like it either. It has a metallic taste to it that is off...I feel like the christmas bulbs on the bottle are in the bottle too.

I didn't enjoy "Enjoy by mm-dd-yy". Big time onion/garlic in the finish that I just couldn't get past. I could tell the beer was good quality, but I can't stand onion/garlic in a beer. Hopefully this was limited to the batch I got, but I haven't had a chance to try it again.

Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro. I always finish a beer that I open, however this was a drain pour.

I bought a ton of it a couple years ago because it seems to be required drinking, but I dislike SN Celebration. And I drank enough of it to give it a fair chance. Another that comes to mind is Troegs Mad Elf... While Celebration is a well made beer that just doesn't cut it for my taste buds, I think Mad Elf insults them.

There are a lot that I don't "like" and find overrated-but you'll have that when everybody has different tastes. I am going to list 2 popular beers that I find completely unpalatable.

FFF Apocolypse Cow- A milk IPA is not a good idea. Milk and grapefruit flavors do not blend well. Apparently- a lot of people think that they do and love this beer.

Wisconsin Belgian Red- I love New Glarus and I totally respect this beer. I was the kid that always gave the cherry away on my sundae but that loved sour cherry candy. This is straight up cherry juice-I'm not into it...it tastes like cough syrup to me without the medicine.

I somewhat agree, tastes too burnt toe. Old Raspy is a better example of the style IMO and easier to get.

It might not change the next time. Chances are it's more how you taste certain hops- they are oniony to you but not to others. It's kind of like how a certain percentage of people (I don't know the exact number, but it's around 20%) taste cilantro as soapy.

Founders Breakfast Stout - I drank one, that's all I needed. Gave the other three to my sister's friend who loves that beer.

Locally ,Jack's Abby Berliner Lager didn't sit right with me at all. A Berliner's main flavor should stem from lager yeast. It just cuts through every other flavor of those beers for me. I'm also not high on Fiddlehead Second fiddle like everyone else seems to be. I wouldn't even put in in my top 50 DIPAs.

Buckeye Beer by Maumee Bay Brewing.....I'm sure there are folks out there that like it. To me it tastes like a mix between Bud Light and a cheap champagne.

DFH Palo Santo Marron - one of the nastiest beers I've ever had, drain pour
OB Mama's Little Yella Pils - rated as 'good' on BA but it tastes like a AAL to me, not a bad beer but not worth the price
Most Imperial Stouts (BA and non-BA) are too boozy for me, especially when they get above 8-9%ABV

I have really tried to like Saison's but they are just a little too sweet for me

Just looked at my negative deviations and the highest rated beer with the biggest negative was Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro. There wasn't much to it for me and it left me with a foul aftertaste. I also didn't like the texture.

The other two that aren't rated as highly, but had higher negatives from me were Petrus Aged Red, and Weyerbacher Old Heathen Imp Stout.

You're insane! The best beer they make. There's more to beer than hop bombs.

I agree with stickboy. DFH Palo Santo Marron was a drain pour after my first sip. Horrible stuff.
