$20 a bottle is a bit much... Ugh

 

Where at and yeah, that is a lot for a bottle.

 

Specs in Plano... It came out to just over $20 after tax.

So instead you posted in a thread about a different beer? We should try to get this thread back on track -- some of us are actually trying to find information on Love Child 2.

 

Not to rain on your parade, but my thread jack at least kept it at the top of the page thus increasing your odds of finding info on your beer.

I'm assured that my efforts to spread to word about a rare TX tapping of a smokestack series beer is appreciated.

 

I'd suspect more that just "some of us" are looking for info on the beer related to the topic. Petty much every one who clicks this thread is hoping to find out when/where/and how much for LC#2.

Still... I don't see the harm in someone passing along info of a beer(from the same brewery... not to mention one that has been discussed repeatedly in this thread already) that is available some where local. Would much rather see it posted here than contributing to an already clusterf*ck of pointless threads.

I bet you wouldn't be so bothered if someone from Houston posted this info.

Fair enough. I wasn't really bothered, just wanting the thread to get back on track. Don't see that as being too much of a problem. Geography of the poster has nothing to do with it, either. Plenty of Rye on Rye to go around.

You going to Austin for the game? If so, BM me and swing by my tailgate for some beer - we'll be serving a Berliner with raspberries and a Belgian dark strong. I assure you I'm much less of a douche nozzle than you think.

 

17.99 everywhere else in Texas. Dallas wholesaler charges us more than anyone else in Texas even though they are the closest to the brewery...18.99 in Dallas. Really can't compare the price on this one to the other Smokestack releases as it is a totally different price structure altogether. Well worth the price!

 

^so when will we see it on specs' shelves? i'm going to be bummed if it showed up while i was out of town.

 

got mine at the Plano specs late last week...

 

great. i checked every day last week at the larger one near me that carries a lot of the boulevard specials/smokestack/normals, then had to go out of town for a wedding friday.

hope there's a few left!

I was at Specs Brodie (Austin), which is the main Specs in Austin, and didnt see it on the shelves, unless its already gone.

 

Anyone seen this anywhere else? Nothing against Spec's, but it's a bit of a drive for those of us who live in Tarrant county...

 

I can't find it in my usual stores...Carrollton and Plano.

 

I picked some up today at specs on Brodie. Had to ask for it though...

 

any H-Town updates?
