Hoosier daddy, aka: Upland Reserve second chance LIF

    As a former Hoosier (albeit briefly), I have a warm spot in my heart for the state, its beer, and its inhabitants. You may have heard that Upland recently held a lottery for a little beer called Upland Reserve that I guess people want. Sadly, being a lottery and all, not everyone was a winner. Here is your chance to get another try at a reservation.

    Here's the scoop: my wife and I both hit jackpot with our entries and it seemed unreasonable not to spread the love. Post below with your favorite thing about Indiana and this Friday (6/22) I'll randomly choose one of you and send you a copy of my ID to go pick it up.

    Restrictions:
    - You MUST not have won the lottery or got to buy a bottle at the festival earlier.
    - I'm not going to require it, but please do something nice for another BA at some point in the future. Whether that's another LIF, throwing in a top want as an extra, or something else cool is of no concern to me.
    - This is at the Indianapolis tasting room. If you can't pick it up there, please don't post below.
    - This is on the honor system, so don't be a dick and enter if you didn't enter the Upland lottery, but decided just now you'd like a bottle, and don't enter if you've won or already have a bottle.
    - Also, don't enter if you had your girlfriend, wife, dog, family member, friend, or anyone else enter for you and they won a bottle.

    A lifelong Hoosier here and a lottery loser. You just honestly summed it up, the term "Hoosier Hospitality" runs true with what you're doing here. I enjoy the people mostly, but also a big fan of our state's love of basketball.

    Damn, was going to make the trip to Indiana if I won, but my former roommate's girlfriend's cousin's dog won a bottle, so I don't qualify :slight_frown:

    I very recently moved from Indy. My favorite part had to be how, in the absense of things to small-talk about, uncharacteristec changes in the weather and their effects on crops and gardens could carry a conversatiom for thirty minutes. I can't tell you how awkward it is out here for a conversation about rain to end in 3 sentances and then be totally out of material.

    my favorite thing about indiana is REMPO!!!!

    alternatively, i also have a sweet spot in my heart for Deer Creek amphitheater - lost my mind just a couple of times in that place :wink:

    I entered the lottery and sadly lost. Being born and raised in the Bronx, NY, I know nothing about Indiana. I do know that there are a lot of great breweries there and lots of great people that I've traded with. One of those traders would be called upon (hopefully) to pick up that bottle for me if I was to win.

    Either way though, super generous of you and I appreciate you doing this for all of us!

    Unfortunately I do not qualify (I didn't enter the lottery since I didn't have someone who could pick the bottle up).

    This is one of the greatest titles for a LIF ever though.

    I'm a born and raised Hoosier and while I can go on for hours about what I love about Indiana the one thing that cannot be beat is the people. I decided to go out of state for college and I never thought I would miss being in Indiana as much as I did. I moved back asap and haven't even thought about leaving since. This is an awesome LIF and win or lose this is seriously one of the best I've seen in a long time!
