So traveling here for thanksgiving and preliminary searches show little to nothing in the town.

I found Green Brick Brewing but that was about it (although I see no official website and their facebook was last updated in 2013 so it may not even exist anymore). My access to a vehicle will be slim to none so I would need things basically in town.

Yeah I know the town is in almost the middle of nowhere but hey, sometimes little to no light pollution, no work being done in the evening in the canyon, and the military not flying over your head is quite peaceful.

    Thanks in advance.

Absolutely nothing in Los Banos. BYOB or you can probably pick up some BL Lime.

Never been myself, but I know friends who have gone to Grillin n Chillin Alehouse in Hollister, about 45 minutes away from Los Banos. Looks like they updated Beermenus today, they have lil opal, BA arrogant bastard, some one off Drakes beers, among other solid offerings on tap, as well as good selection of bottles.

Yeah from what I can tell it is at minimum 45min of a drive to get to somewhere that serves more than just BL Lime.

*crossing fingers someone randomly opens a shop in the 1 week until I get there*

Just glad I left 2 cases of RR sours at my better half's parent's place about 1.5months ago. They will have to do if nothing else. Although Supplication does not go all that well with a turkey.

You could also pop some bottles in your outgoing suitcase.

That along with the RR sours is what is likely going to happen. I was just hopeful there was something up there.

If you can come by a ride somehow head a half hour north on Route 165 to Dust Bowl Brewing Company in Turlock.

I lived in Los Banos for 6 years. I'll just tell you you've picked the absolute worst possible place on the planet to spend Thanksgiving .

The Baths actually is the correct translation.

I can't pick where my better half grew up and her parents live. I'm just here to make her happy and if she wants to spend time there then so be it. I can sit around and watch kung fu movies all day with her father and get super fat by being stuffed with food.

Hey, we all gotta do what we gotta do for the ladies. But, yeah, if you get the chance or finagle a car, head over to Dust Bowl Brewing in Turlock... you won't be disappointed.

Good news, I will have a car waiting for me upon my arrival. So I guess Dust Bowl will be a thing. Might cruise on over to SARA as well but that is about a 1.5-2hr drive. I have fingers crossed I can make that work but not overly optimistic about hitting that brewery this time.

Also, there's a good craft bar right down the street from DB... 10 EAST Kitchen & Tap House. Safe travels.

I was joking around. Actually, its true, I lived in Los Banos for 6 years and there isnt anything to do there. Now that you have a car, you're in good shape

Oh no worries man. I actually showed her this thread and she agreed with everyone's post about it being basically nothingsville, CA. Explains why she went to college down here and stayed down here afterwards.

I am mostly upset that her fav chinese restaurant Ming's is no longer there. But taking her up to Turlock for Dust Bowl and that craft beer bar @CenCalMario mentioned should make up for it, or at the very least entertain me for a good half day.

    Cheers.
