Gonna sit the sixer out, but in the upcoming weeks I'll be sending a few surprise holiday boxes to trading partners that have treated me exceptionally well.

 

In addition to sixer talk, what is everyone's drinking plans for Thanksgiving?

I'm in kind of in a pickle - we are having CFS at my family's, then going to out to a streakhouse with my "better" half's. Hard to pair for the early meal then I'm at the mercy of a usually BMC establishment.

 

I'll be doing a bit of a cellar cleaning tasting with friends and family Thursday night. I think this will be the 4th straight year. Everyone usually brings a couple bottles to share, but in an effort to reduce my inventory this year, I'm providing 12 bottles and charging a small entrance fee.

 

Sixterhood #8 hints:

2). Shipping over 1600 miles and less than 2500 miles

 

I've always gotten super jealous any time I see a pic of multiple sexy ass Almanac brews all lined up... there is something about that bottle that just does it for me... the contents have always lived up to the internal hype I create from the perceived beauty of the container in my limited experience so I called upon a fellow Localist to help me get a real live lineup on my desk here that can live forever in the forefront of my yank bank. Mike came through big time for me... and he shipped like 2 days after the birth of that beautiful baby we saw a picture of (this may have seriously damaged his rep on dadadvocate.com and/or husbandadvocate.com). To @Kramerbarthomer I say thank you, my friend. This box exceeds all expectations I had even knowing the majority of the contents... awesome brews, all safe, and delicious looking extras that are all new to me. I am forever your WI hookup - just let me know when you want to start working on another trade and the answer is yes.

Without further adieu, it is now time for you suckas to be jealous of ME!!! MUUUWWAAAHAHAHAAA!

 

Most of this is the jump in price on the MSRP; MSRP increased $7/unit this year on Bourbon County. The rest is because PA sucks.

 

I'm SO glad to hear this is something other people do; I've got such a ridiculous inventory right now, and would really love to clean house by supplying an entire bottle share's beer. Whether the investment was 6 months or 6 days ago, I'd need to recoup some of it to do this, and I've felt a little weird about the idea of asking for money to come drink my beer. If you have the time to talk about it, I'd appreciate a BM from you for some pointers on how much you 'charge', how you go about asking for it, etc.

Any suggested order? @Ncpogs, any Chicago Pumpkins that I am missing? (I was thinking about the Blueberry Pie Scraper from PW for Dessert, but couldn't think of any must drink Chicago pumpkins)

99% in for seasonal sixer. A little easier to make a decent local box without going heavy on a single brewery lol

 

99% out for seasonal sixer unfortunately; 12 Days BIF and a couple upcoming trades are following up a November that I sent out far more beer than any one month should include.

I will of course look upon my decision with regret until the last of the boxes has been posted, plus a few more minutes of mourning.

 

Thanksgiving will be just above BMC on the family's dime.

Black Friday is the hunt for BCBS and assorted other goodies.

Saturday will be a Bourbon County/Barrel-aged share. I've got my ride home already lined up.

 

I am planning on going to the Kuhnhenn Raspberry Eisbock release on Saturday. If anyone is interested in a bottle shoot me a message. I wouldn't mind working out a trade or two. Mainly looking for IPAs and stouts. I could also pick up some bottles for you guys if you want to just PayPal me the funds and send me a label. I'm not sure how many people will be interested but unfortunately I don't have the shipping materials and time to send bottles to the entire group. If I get to my max I will let everyone know.
