What's up Sacramento?

Anyone going to Owl Club in Roseville tonight? They have Lagunitas Lucky 13 Mondo Large Red Ale as their special tap for the night. Will be there around 7ish, hope to see a few of you there.

 

for those of you still hunting Parabola you can find some bottles at the Bevmo on Fairway in Roseville and Rocky Ridge might have some bottles as well. The Bevmo on Fairway also has some fairly old Unibroue bottles. I drank a Trois Pistoles that had a best before date of Feb 2011 on it a couple nights ago and they have some Maudite with best before dates of Nov 2012. FWIW old Trois Pistoles tastes quite a bit like Grand Reserve 17 for about half the price.

And to be brutally honest I'll be moving in a two years or so and I'm currently sitting on a bit too much beer. So as the time gets closer to my departure from this state I'll probably be looking to offload some pre aged 2012 Parabola, 2012 Stone IRS and some other beers I have in quantity because it'll probably be too much to travel with.

 

All I heard was your planning a giant bottle share within the next 2 years.

 

if anybody is still looking for Parabola the whole foods by the Roseville Galleria has at least a case laying about between the cold wall and the warm shelf.

As of today they also have a shelf full of Pliny. Total Wine Roseville and Bevmo Fairway also have Collage if there is anybody who has not got their fill yet. If you dare to go outside today

 

If anyone is looking for Fruet, Nugget Market in the Pocket area had some on the shelf at $31.99.

 

Seems like a good price. It was going for $34 in Eugene last weekend.

yeah, the total wine in roseville is hiding their fruet in the locked wine case...

I swear I need therapy or somebody to punch me in the nuts when I think about buying more beer.

 

Fruet for $32? Most of the reviews have it drinking hot too.

I would however love to see some Otiose, BT, and Melange 3 make its way up here tho. Outstanding beers...

I have not seen any in our area. I know KandL online has some right now. I may hit up some Sac area stores after work tomorrow and let you know.

 

Has anybody seen the Lost Abbey version of the collab with New Belgium?

 

The stone chipotle and vanilla smoked porter aren't going to get distro in sacramento. They are hitting the bay area though, so gotta take a drive to pick them up. Haven't seen or heard anything about the Mo betta in sacramento or placer county yet, but I'll let you know when it pops up.

 

I was hoping maybe the Davis Beer Shoppe got some to save me the drive.

Is it an issue with the distributor being a dumbass or Stone not having any love for Sacramento?

 

No love for Sacramento. They have the distribution areas set up on a tier system. We aren't high enough up the list to get it. Just got done talking to our distributor and placer and sac aren't getting any. He was just as pissed as I was

 

Davis may be under a different distro area. So might just have to call them
