Black Friday 2014 Bourbon County Release

Anyone know about any bars having it on tap in Tallahassee this weekend. I'll be in town for the fsu game and I was hoping to maybe drink a glass or two. You can BM me if you prefer as well. Thanks!

 

Yeah, that is a little strange.

 

Well, that kinda sucks. The Vanilla Rye was the only one I wanted to try this year. Carolinas, shut out!

 

It makes no sense to shut SC out of vanilla cause that state drinks almost nothing but AB products.

 

Doesn't that go for any Southern state? I'm sure most states drink mostly AB/InBev products except Wisconsin. Is GA getting any Vanilla Rye or Coffee?

 

They aint getting much. I've spoken with someone at Tampa's major distributor and he indicated that he was told less than 20 cases found their way to FL.

After employees and owners stake their claims that number will be half of that.

 

Based on the reports I've read, florida will be getting quite a bit of Vanilla Rye

 

I hope your right, I'd be happy to land a single bottle.

I know there are some kegs of Vanilla already here which is cool.

 

The ABC near me in the Tampa area is getting a case of Vanilla. And this is one of the "lesser" ABCs in the area...they usually only get half of the special releases as some of the better ABCs in the Tampa Bay area

GA is getting only BW and Stout per the in-town distributor.

 

I agree. Going to try and enjoy a pour of Vanilla Rye tomorrow night at Hammered Lamb. Then Friday several of the shops I plan on hitting are getting it as well so I should be able to find 1 bottle in the madness.

 

Hearing from a few different people that Palm Beach County will not see any Vanilla. Plan accordingly.

What do they mean by "credits"? (never been to T. Mac before)

 

We may not get Vanilla in ole SC, but hey, we got Coffee at least! (Trying to find some solace, I'm jealous of Florida and their Vanilla Rye supplies).

It's basically their rewards program which is free to join. You get credits for every unique beer you have and there are levels for prizes/gifts. I think 13 is the beginner and you get a t-shirt

 

No Vanilla in Lakeland (or Coffee or Barleywine for that matter) at our ABC's, one non-ABC store might have a very small amount but they are tight-lipped (probably don't have it).

Any Tampa BA's care to share where I should wander over for some BCBCS?! I'm not even looking to take from your Vanilla supply! BM me.

According to our Lakeland ABC the Hillsborough ABC's have the variants, but I'm betting they get less then Total Wine from what it sounds. I'm guessing the Total Wine right by CCB will be the craziest and one to avoid right?
