One State Wonders

While you are correct, the original post said what beer is only available for purchase in one state as well, which this clearly fits.

 

Does anyone outside of Georgia get Creature Comforts yet? I'll go with those guys.

 

Is a bottle of a New Glarus fruit beer(Belgium red, raspberry tart etc.) beer currency when touring out of state breweries? I have heard you can trade a bottle for something good at a lot of places around the country, and I should probably give this a try.

They don't leave the state. Cans don't even leave Athens, as far as I know. That'll change in February. They definitely are making some solid beers.

I have to mention Orpheus in addition to Creature Comforts.

Backcountry up in Boulder. They had Notorius Triple IPA and Bone-a-fide Pale on.
Same day as the BBA Tweak release.

I agree. Boneyard is awesome!
Luckily, I have a buddy back there who will ship me filled bottles/ growlers of boneyard.
There are quite a few grolwer station places which carry them in PDX.

I moved here from PDX a couple of years ago and still head back every few months... Would still like to get more Boneyard in my life!

I forgot to respond to this the other day...Leftys is brewed in the Greenfield, MA area near Vermont. Unfortunately I moved back home to the south shore so I can't grab you any. It barely distributes even to Worcester. Well worth the price along with Berkshire (no longer a one state wonder). Lefty's hoppy offerings are decent but the heavier ales are unreal. Yeah. Someone else on the thread said it distributed through Western Ma. My mom lives in Chicopee so Ill definitely grab some while I am there. What specific ones should I keep my eye out for?

 

The imperial porter, oatmeal chocolate ale, maple ale and stout, brekkie breakfast stout, and irish stout. Really anything you can find is worth it!

 

2nd Shift would be on that list for Mo. Quietly putting out fantastic beers here. Cannot wait till there collab wit Side Project is released.

 

2nd Shift for sure! excellent IPAs and saisons....and his LSD stout is phenomenal!

 

Alchemist is my favorite and pain to get. I do enjoy some Jackie O's.
