While you are correct on the legality of the 1st or 2nd tier setting price for the 3rd tier, it doesn't really matter. When a supplier (brewer) sells the beer to a wholesaler, it is completely legal to add a column after each beer's pricing telling the wholesaler their price to retailer in order to maintain X% margin. Considering that most wholesalers' selling price to a retailer is strictly dictated by the % margin, this is likely what a wholesaler does for a retailer. Anyway, if a brewer wants to raise the "MSRP" at retail, just raise the price to the wholesaler, easy as pie.

I think you should try to make it happen even if it is pricey. This is one of those beers that everyone should have once. Don't hunt for it if you don't want, but if you come across it, I wouldn't pass it up.

It's not my place to spend your $$ but BCBS is one of the very few beers that IMO lives up to it's hype. If I saw it on a shelf for $27-30 a 4 pack it would be sold.

It's already on sale in CA $20.99 per 4 pk. Pretty sure it will be just like last year. Also heard no variants here in RI, but I have my doubts in the accuracy of the rumor.

Saw prices are varying across the board from $5-$10 per bottle to $20-$30 4 pk. Would you pick it up, whatever the price is or does even BCBS have a price limit?

Yes, yes it does. Standard pricing was $19.99 last year across the board. I went as high as $25. Following that logic and the expected price increase of $5, I'd go $30.

We just got our shipment in today and the pricing is significantly higher. We'll be selling it at $24.99

$20 is what I paid last year and I might pay a few more dollars this year but wouldn't do $30...

The price increase is a bummer, but I'm not one to complain. I don't want much this year, so I have no problem going up to $30.

Even if it ends up being $30 a 4 pack it's still cheaper than the 14.99 bombers most of us don't complain about.

Additionally you have the added value of a 12oz solo pour. As a person that loves to drink alone that small pour is invaluable.

One retailer in IN told me it went up $20 a case for them. It will be 25.99/ 4-pack at their shop. (Which I don't think is bad)

Anyone have any information or ideas for the price hike? Are we starting to feel the InBev squeeze?

This year I paid 24.99 for the stout and barleywine. Not sure what the price will be on the coffee. I WILL NOT by the vanilla rye at 20+ dollars per bomber.

Well, if Eclipse can charge $30 a bottle, FFF can do the same, $30 seems fair. I'd probably pay $40 for Prop or Vanilla Rye, but only if I didn't have a bottle yet. For standard BCBS, I'd hesitate much past $25 because I prefer the variants.

I paid $30 for a 4pk a couple years ago when it finally came back to MA. I would never do this again. Regular BCBS will be all over the place after this first rush. This stuff sits on the shelves at some non-craft stores around here and that includes some of the variants, like barleywine.
