(12/4/2014) Eclipse Release Party and Bottleshare Info

Has there been any new information about the party?

 

BOTTLES: This is the info I know you’ve all been waiting for. First of all, similar to futures, if at all possible we would rather not send you out with your bottles the night of the party. Bring your receipt the following morning and we will bring them to you. Again, dark + cold + lots of beer = bottle disaster. Now, without further adieu, here are the 2014 Eclipse variants that will be available for purchase at this year’s Release Party:

• Buffalo Trace
• Elijah Craig 12 yr.
• Evan Williams 23 yr.
• Four Roses
• High West Bourbon
• High West Rye
• High West Single Malt
• Java Eclipse
• Rittenhouse Rye
• Spanish Rum
• Woodford Reserve

Bottle limits will be announced at the party, but we plan to be as generous as possible. In addition to the stellar line up of 2014 Eclipse, we will also have some cellared vintage Eclipse for sale, as well as special surprise Eclipse - which will ONLY be available at the pub. We will post a full price list with any limits and have order sheets available to streamline your purchasing experience.

A follow-up email confirmed no 3L Jeroboam's this year. They are planning to "Mix it up" this year.

 

I am definitely hoping for a possible 9L this year. But I am definitely excited to see whats in store and to see what vintage I can buy! PVW, JD?

 

I would assume last years PVW, maybe EC 20yr, and more for sure. Eclipse always does an awesome job with this party and the fact they don't have 3L this year is probably better for my wallet anyways. I'm just wondering what the "special surprise Eclipse" is that will only be available at the pub. The wording has me believe this is different than the party bottle, but could be wrong.

 

Definitely excited for Spanish rum and java.

 

ISO a ticket to the Eclipse Release Party. If anyone has a change of plans and needs to offload a ticket, let me know. I'll take it off your hands and send over a thank you bottle as well.

Somebody was asking me about the bottleshare during the party. They said that the 50/50 crew wasn't going to allow the bottleshare because of how crazy it gets. Is there any truth to this?

 

Doubtful - don't you think that would have been in Alisha's email? I did see Andy washing down puke last year though - and that sucks.

 

That was probably me, though I know my girlfriend definitely tipped the bar extra and helped out cleaning it up as she was able.

 

I head straight for a planter box. @PaulStoneAnchor just does it next to the freeway.

 

Same Bat-time and same Bat-channel this year?

 

We're out this year. Got too crowded, combo'd with the midweek party and corresponding vacation days. So hopefully others are doing dress-up this year to carry the tradition.

 

Still looking for 2 tickets or 1 ticket whatever is possible. So excited if i could partake.

 

Paid the second installment for my futures order today. Won't be at the party but I'm certainly looking forward to getting my beer.

 

Missed out on the website tickets and the waiting list is 50+ deep, so unless someone on here has a spare I'll have to sit this year out.

 

So any bottle shares taking place?? Was there last year, just wanted to see if anyone interested in putting something together.

I'll be there Wednesday. We're staying at hotel truckee Tahoe if anyone is planning anything.

 

I'm thinking that @abecall98 and our Sacramento group will be doing some sort of bottleshare. I couldn't imagine needing to continue at the hotel, but whatever happens happens I guess.
