Price went up in ky this year. Should see most at $24.99 per 4 pack for stout and barleywine.

So can I just walk in on Friday at Total Wine and get it? Are people really camping out like its Westy 12?

I'm sorry but I paid $19 For Back Yard Rye last year and although it was great, if you didnt find its jammy flavors overwhelming, it was definitely not worth $40!

Seems to depend on where you are. I was in FL for the release last year and down there I had to work pretty hard to find B County Coffee stout and the Back Yard Rye but total wine had a bunch of regular and barley wine with a one case limit.

I wouldn't bat an eye about dropping $20 for a bomber, and yet for some reason $40 for a 4-pack seems hard to swallow. But if I'm being rational, I'd have no problem dropping 40.

I'm going to stand in line Friday morning like thousands of others and buy as much as they let me and pay what they ask.
Not exactly sure what that says about me, but at least I won't be battling the crowds at Wal-Mart....

I didn't love Backyard as much as some other variants, but I paid $20 for Coconut Rye, and you'd better believe I'd pay more for that than for a bomber of almost anything else. $20 is a steal for that stuff.

For me that falls into the "I'd like to choose to spend less, if possible" section, and I tend to agree. For certain beers, I'd rather buy a 12 oz. bottle for $5 or $6 than pay $20 for a 4-pack (because I don't think I'll want 4 of them more than I'd want the rest of that twenty). So $20 for a bomber instead of $40 for a 4-pack is perfectly rational in that sense; with the other $20 you can get another crazy bomber of something else.

If you bought a '14 4-pack already this week don't mention the places name. That's a big no no for Goose Island

Just passed on a single bottle for $12, so I'd say somewhere in the range of "less than $12 a bottle" is what I would pay.

I'd pay a dollar an ounce for it. It's a fantastic beer, but no beer is worth more than that to me at this point.

$5.99 for a single is about as high I would pay. BCBS does just about live up to it's hype so if you have never drank it might be worth your while to pay more than that.

I bought a 4-Pack of empties from a horse with no name. :grinning:

Just got back from a great local spot and a long chat with a buddy of mine. He said when they put it out on Friday it's gonna have a $30 price tag.

Fair enough. Sadly, I never got to try the Proprietors so I can't speak to it's worth but I still think $40 for 22oz is pretty steep compared to ATG Bo&Luke or DuClaw Retribution both at $15 for a bomber.
