I'm not so sure milk and oatmeal are flavors but more styles. Maybe I'm wrong, who knows

I like my stouts without any additional flavors or better yet aged in bourbon barrels, since bourbon/whiskey wasn't a choice I guess Ill go with other for Bomb! The chiles are great and it has to be one of the best non barrel aged stouts ive ever had.

I'm a sucker for vanilla in stouts. Throw in some coffee/espresso and cacao nibs = heaven.

As far as I know, the only flavored stout I've had is Schlafly's Coffee Stout. Darn good.

Milk, Oatmeal and Cream are not flavors of stouts, and actual chocolate is rarely used in the brewing process. Milk and Cream refer to the lactose sugar that comes from milk. It goes unfermented during the brewing process because yeast can't ferment it. Therefore, the sugar remains intact and it provides sweetness to the final product, hence the name Milk/Cream Stout. Oatmeal is also not a flavor. Its a grain.

Also, chocolate is not usually added to stouts that have the name "Chocolate" in them. The chocolate flavor is most often from the use of chocolate malts. Also, coffee is not always used in Coffee stouts. The darker roasted malts to make these brews often lend the flavor of coffee, hence some coffee stouts are misnomers.

Tell me about it! All of those beers from that period were fantastic, too. I think I miss Old Nick the most.

Barrel Aged Abraxas is probably the best beer I've ever had, Xocoveza was one of the better beers I've had this year. Yeah, I'm a sucker for beers that remind me of Mexican hot chocolate...
