VBS -- don't know if I mentioned this in the thread previously, but I was away all weekend and picked up a 4 pack of this (as well as a bottle of Duclaw Retribution), and was floored by this -- have never had it before, and it's just fantastic. Holding off on the BCBS for tonight, but will probably have it in the coming days, just to try out the 2014.

 

My VBS contribution thanks to @Lehighace06 (I put your TH glass with the ones that @edhizdeid got me from Against the Grain and @surlytwinsfan got me from Indeed Brewing - they all get a lot of use!). I bought this glass about a month ago and this is the 1st proper set up. Mmmmmmmmm

 

And as much as a roller coaster of a last 24 hours that was... vet said there was nothing to do, he's gone

 

Sad, so much in a short time.

 

Had my first bottle last night - very impressed.

 

That just sucks. I'm raising a glass of Double Duckpin in memory of your dog.

 

Yeah, going from "we will likely have to put him down" to "we are putting him down" to "there's a chance" to "he's gone" is a lot.

 

Devils backbone is a cool place not far from my Grandma's cabin been there a few times. Blue Mountain not too far away and very cool spot as well.

Definitely a fan of Blue Mountain as well. My wife still talks about the bread pudding we got there the one time we've been. The beer is pretty solid as well.

 

Same, though mine was less a hole in the wall but more a "I can't believe people normally go here because they charge off the wall prices". Still managed $27, which as far as I can tell is about what I can expect this year with the price increase. The clerk even said "brace yourself" as she went to ring it up and I was just like "oh I know"

 

$24/4 here. They had a pile of BA Narwhal at $20 each, too.

 

So sorry about your dog @ninjembro. Losing a long time pet is very painful. Been through it many times and it never is easy. Wishing the best for you and your family.

Thanks all. Although I'm too lazy to snap a pic/upload it for part two (and probably the last part of my VBS for tonight), opened my last bottle of storm king from a case I bought back in August. Such a good beer, and I likely won't hesitate to buy another case of it sometime in the future. Such a good "go to" beer.

 

Polo refuses to stay still for pictures. I tried to sneak one while he was snuggled up...

Sorry to hear. I've never had a dog but I keep looking to adopt one but I can't imagine what that'd be like to lose them. Cheers to you and your pup.
