    I'm in the same boat, but I won't be able to make it until later, around 12:00 or so. I'm sure I'll miss the coffee and BW, but I should be able to get a 4pack of BCBS, right?

    I saw regular 2013 BCBS at Top Hops as of 5 weeks ago.

    Do you think that was from the 2013 release though? I guess I figured they would get other ships in december after the hype went down or something.

    I picked up a 4 pack of BCBS at Top Hops pretty recently. I'm sure they are going to have tons of it this year.

    This will be my first time going to the event. I will actually be able to make it to the city by 8am to get in line. I'm really only going for the Vanilla Rye. I'm very excited to try it. I wish it was possible to buy just the VR so I could leave the BCBCS and BCBBW for people from out of town who get there later and don't get these variants in there areas.

    I have a place in Rhode Island that got at least 7-8 cases of each BCBCS and BCBBW last year (and expecting the same this year). I will be going up to visit some friends from grad school and some family in the area when they get their allotment. If anyone is interested in obtaining more than 2 bottles of each, feel free to message me and maybe we can set up a trade or something similar. I was picking up 4 packs of BCBBW as late as April of this year in RI.

    My guess would be that it was from the 2013 release and they just held back a bunch of cases to spread out throughout the year. They had it on tap in the middle of October this year, and I can't imagine GI was sending out kegs of it almost a year after the release date.

    Eh, you never know. More likely is that you'll miss the Vanilla, but I wouldn't bet against the BW and the coffee.

    This doesn't seem worth waiting in line in the cold. Everything except vanilla will be readily available the next week and based on the prospective increase in production, vanilla won't be too difficult to acquire.

    I only know from the last 2 years, and I agree with you, the way this winter is going... it's going to be freaking cold. but coffee was a bit difficult in NYC.... BW was easier for me personally...

    Did you account for the prospective increase in demand as well? The craft beer scene is exploding right now, and there's a lot of new guys that are pumped for their first BCBS release. Also, a lot of people think the Coffee and BW are exceptional, and even better than this year's vanilla rye (GASP!!).

    As a matter of fact, I have. I'm working with the formula A= (D/N) - T^2

    Where:
    A= the amount of BC that will be available Monday
    D= amount distributed in NYC
    N= newbie factor
    T= the temperature in degrees celcius on Black Friday.

    This is a modified calculation based on Goose Island's availability metric.

    Hate to be that guy but can we go back to talking about Black Wednesday?!

    Who is going where? What's the scoop on tap/bottle lists?

    Pretty sure this was already settled at the beginning of the thread. It's at One Mile House and the owner discussed the tap list which is also up on their Facebook page. I'll be there.

    It's at three bars, the other two being Top Hops and Dive Bar I believe.

    Black Wed is Dive Bar, Owl Farm and One Mile House, draft only and bottles for on-site (maybe Dive they allow bottles to go?)

    Black Friday is Top Hops bottles to go and on-site along with draft

    Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Owl Farm confirmed on twitter that they are NOT doing anything BCS-related on the 26th (though they are tapping a keg of 2014 BCS at midnight on Thanksgiving).

    Dive Bar is confirmed, however, despite their lack of publicity.

    I think everyone just assumed it was Owl Farm due to "5th Avenue and 9th Street NYC 11215" - everyone in the know however, knows it's round the corner at Smith's Tavern - it will be the lowest key BCBS release event in the country

    Nah - mixed emotions about this, as the idea of one of the three locations being 5 mins walk from my apartment was great. But overall I'm glad to be honest. Owl Farm is one of my favourite spots. Even when they're tapping HF or some other rarity, it's always chill. So I'm glad I don't need to see one of my fave places suffer from a tri-state beer nerd shit show

    FYI, Bourbon County cases have dropped in Brooklyn, awaiting Friday sales. Should be a big day. Get those wallets ready.

    A Brooklyn Harvest Market was selling them yesterday...I assumed it was the 2014 because the had just gotten the case? You had to buy two four-packs of BCBS in order to be "allowed" to buy one bottle of BCBCS...I passed

    Early reports indicate that regular BCS will be a breeze to get and that both coffee and barleywine will be in short supply. That said, another friend reported that barleywine will be pretty ubiquitous.

    So, in short, after chasing down BCS and variants all over the city shortly before you could basically find it in every bodega and finally feeling like I was out... THEY KEEP PULLING ME BACK IN.

    Damn you, Goose Island, and your deliciously sweet nectar.
