I'd have to say the best beer I have had in a can thus far would definitely have to be New Zealand's Garage Project Death From Above. Really is a cut above.

My BIL from Charlotte is bringing me some today, along with the CoCo Loco now in cans!!

@Jimmy_Melnarik You need to post this again as your wedding nears. I wouldn't mind sending you some Westbrook (esp. the Gose and One Claw) or COAST beers as a gift. My only request is that we see some epic '****' wheelbarrow pictures full of cans from coast to coast. :grinning:

Modern Times is SUPER easy for me to get ahold of here, so their cans may be dominating the wheelbarrows. I'll need to try the Saint Archer cans! Thanks!

That's not a bad point. Maybe I'll just hide a 4-pack to two in there!

I really liked this one as well! Hopefully they still have cans of it available next year!

Occidental is one of the best German breweries in the states (my oppinion). Their Hef is one of the best I have ever had (up there with Live Oak).

Their Kolsch is light and citrusy with prominent Kolsch yeast. Their Altbier is a nice change up as well. It wouldn't be tough to get some because they are shelf beers up here.

However you have some good options in Southern Cal with Golden Road, Port, Ballast Point, Mike Hess, and Modern Times.

Edit: I probably wouldnt go Ballast Point because of their price point, but I dont know your wallet size.

Revolution's Unsessionable. That has set the bar high for me as far as (D)IPAs go. Wild Onion's Pumpkin Ale was another nice surprise that comes to mind.

I have not sampled Heady, so I can't say where that would rank.

That said, TenFidy is absolutely the best canned beer I've ever had. Sadly, it is only seasonal.

DC Beau On the Wings of Armaggedon is also awesome but they have a pretty small distro footprint.

If you're looking for an exceptional year-round beer with a wide distro footprint, Sculpin is the choice.

Two Hearted - can get in cans and bottles now. Just seems to taste even better from the can.
