So I have co-workers going to a conference in Chicago (staying at the Hyatt on Wacker Dr) all next week (Sat 29th to following Sat). Any stores nearby area that I could send them to during next week where they can get me a single bottle of coffee, vanilla rye or proprietors? Would love to score a single bottle of proprietors somehow but needs to be a store buy option. Not interested in Barleywine or Regular. Got plenty of that in MD.

 

Honestly, no. After Black Friday, your best bet would be stumbling on Barleywine or Regular. Even those will likely be cleared out until another shipment comes in.

 

Anyone been to the Algonquin Binny's? Going this year? I'm wondering how the lines will be in the far NW burbs...

 

The line was pretty long last year. Over 100 people easily.

 

Wow, don't think I'll be going then. I was planning on swinging by if the line was under 50 or so. I had no idea the line gets that bad there.

 

I can't imagine a Binny's location in Chicagoland area which won't have a longer line this year.

 

Everyone brings a mule. It kinda sucks. But I imagine it's like that everywhere.

I don't disagree necessarily but I needed Sprouts and want my single 4pack of regular / could then ignore this mess from here on out.
Plus that Jewel is a 4 minute walk from my work.

So it seems, (and take this with a grain of salt as I've only checked one place thus far), that retailers really are sticking to the Black Friday release this year.
Last year you could find the stuff during the entire week leading up to the Giving of Thanks. This year, not so much.
