Yeah, that's what they told us last year too... Then SOME stores got one case, parsed them out as singles and sold them for like $20 per.

What does a 4 pack typically cost? Assuming the retail establishment isn't gouging?

I'm getting the feeling Nashville's allotment was pretty small. I've spoken with several places in the area and most are 1 four pack limits and several have single bottle limits! One place will have 2 kegs and will fill one growler per person. How do you guys feel about growlers vs trying to get bottles?

Consider yourself lucky that anyone is selling four packs. Only single bottles here.

Growlers are better than nothing but I don't want to be forced to drink my haul at a certain time.

A 4 pack limit is nothing to sneeze at. Here in NJ, I haven't found anywhere allowing more than 2 bottles.

I definitely feel lucky I might be able to get some, don't get me wrong! I'm just torn about trying for a 4 pack or a growler. I was thinking about asking them if they would put it in two 32 oz growlers instead of one 64oz, and I would just pay for the extra growler.

If I were you I'd get the four pack. Better yet, take a friend with you and get two.

My Whole Foods limited bottles to one stout and one barleywine per person. Thankfully they didn't jack up the price. Each was less than $6 per bottle. Already made my Friday morning plans to hit a couple big box retailers that are limiting to one 4-pack per person.

Denver got screwed, no Coffee, no Vanilla, and in much smaller quantities than last year.

I'm glad I get to save the money for more Tweak and Casey.

What I hate is the places that partake in the price increase to 27$ for 4 packs and bombers and then there are people buying it for 20$ a 4 pack still. The main Bourbon County distributor Binny's in Chicago is having the price increase. How is this beer going to trade then? Especially when Proprietor's will cost at the minimum 27$ a bottle being a Chicago only release.

So I just got my weekly email from them and they got half the allocation they did list year so they will not be doing a release this year.

They can keep the damn things for $20 a bottle. I'm not buying a single bottle at a store. There's plenty of fantastic BA's who I know would help me out..

Now.. BCBCS.. I might stand in line for one bottle.

Anybody have any idea on release in NC (Raleigh/Durham area)? Any variants making it to NC?

Your attention please (crowd turns head in unison towards me). I'd like to encourage folks to abstain from purchasing any Bourbon County this year (crowd cocks their head to the side in confusion). Every dollar you give to Goose Island is a dollar that goes to Abinbev and every dollar that goes to ABinbev is a dollar that can be spent muscling your other favorite craft brands out of shelf space and off of tap handles (crowd gets angry-faced and starts to groan). In short, you buy BCBS, but then you loose that tap handle of Jack's Abby at your local bar (crowd reaches for closest piece of rotten produce). Personally, I'd rather keep the Jack's Abby tap handle and buy something like Founders Breakfast Stout (crowd cocks arm holding rotten produce back). I know, I know, Founders is likely to try to push people off tap handles just as ABinbev does (a few people fire their produce at my head and I duck). However, there isn't proof of that happening that I know of, like there is with ABinbev and I judge companies based on what they have done, not what they could do (remainder of crowd throws countless pieces of rotten produce at my head, one dude throws a tire-iron, everything hits me, I collapse to the ground in a heap of stinky fruit and vegetables. As a tear roles from my eye people stomp over my soon-to-be-corpse and push into the local bottle shop to buy BCBS).

That is what they claim in the midst of the Party Souce Money grab. They want people to pay them $250 dollars a year in hopes of getting the beer(s) they want without standing in line with maybe getting one and maybe an extra if nobody wants it. And while they have appeased a few what Party Source needs to realize is that most of us in this area won't be heading there to buy the picked over garbage and it can sit on their shelves. They got 36 BA Biscotti Breaks in when they did their release $250 maybe entitled you to one of those maybe. There is a facebook beer club here in the SW Dayton area and most of us refuse to pay the money grab fee. So while in the short term they may have made some money in the long term when nobody comes there to buy the other shlef beer they picked up when waiting for the release they will lose. To bad they got greedy hopefully we can get these politicians off there asses here in Ohio to change the laws so we can get stuff like BC here. See if that club fee survives then.
