Clown Shoes: Extremely Angry Beast

Drinking right now. Definitely not noticing much of the barrel aged flavors while cold, but I have a feeling they will come out as it warms. Definitely a smooth drinker at 12%.

Picked up 2 yesterday in Ft. Worth, Tx. Haven't tried them yet but can't wait!

Well I just tried Extremely Angry Beast last night and it didn't disappoint. I think that it was much more restrained than the name would imply, but that's what I liked about it! Although I could pick out the hint of smoke, the bourbon and the rum individually, they were able to integrate these flavors into one tasty beer. Clown Shoes continues to do a fine job, especially with their BA offerings.

 

Got mine at Lizardville in Bedford Heights on Tuesday 11/25 at about 8:30pm. They had a couple more on the shelf--don't know if they had any more in the back.

For anyone in notheastern OH, if you haven't been to a Lizardville, make a point to visit one. I've only been to the Bedford Heights location and I promise it won't disappoint!

 

I like their stouts usually, but this was a big disappointment for me. Too thin and the barrel flavors were there, but didn't have much else going on. Wouldn't buy again

Ever since I had Vampire Slayer a year or two ago, I've been down with Clown Shoes. Good beers!
