Happy Thanksgiving boys! I hope everyone has a lot to be thankful for.

Yesterday I received beer mail from @treznor after I asked about getting a few bottles of Lindley Park. I believe it was 5 days after sending him a message, a box landed at my office. I've done trades with quite a few people in this BIF now and everybody I've traded with has been so damn awesome. I really am thankful for having so many cool people support one of my biggest hobbies and just talking beer and other fun shit in this thread.

Trying to help out a non-BA friend, @Clarkson, @rspauldi, @cultclassic89, @EA728, @allies_dad, @ajaylock... perhaps any of you may know, is Austin getting any Bourbon County? If so, what locations?

The rest of their day's plans include the JK taproom, what bottles should they be looking for right now? (also, what bottles should they be looking for for me right now )

I'm pretty sure Austin is getting it, but he needs to know where to look. There is a thread on the SW forum about Black Friday and the Austin guys are chiming on. Check the JK website, they update their bottles to go list every week. Figlet is the new one, a collab with Franklin BBQ.

From what I've gathered whole foods is probably the best bet in Austin. The Black Friday thread in the southwest forum is a good resource.

Last year I got reg BCBS at specs Brodie/290 on my way to jester King. Hard to say on variants based on last year since we didn't get any in Texas until much later. We will have the variants this year though.

That's funny because when I read his post I actually laughed out loud and thought " what a dick". I appreciate sarcasm more than most because I've been told by many people, including my mother in law numerous times, that I'm a big smart ass.

 

No picture but I'm drinking a Bourbon Barrel Mayan Mocha Stout. I think it's helping to finally thaw out my face from going in the 28* weather this morning.

 

Oh I'm a gigantic smartass, that's why I can't get actually mad about it, but damn if 3 times isn't a tiny bit under my skin

 

Unfortunately, power outages have postponed my Thanksgiving tasting until Saturday. Was hoping to keep Untappd rockin' all night, but perhaps it's for the best so I can get up early to do the Bourbon County thing.

 

The Bourbon County thing here looks to be a mess as usual. The beer store I normally go to won't have it tomorrow. It's looking like that entire county won't have it either. The county I live in and the closest one to me doesn't get nearly as much. Not to mention the whole state is getting shut out of Vanilla until December. I guess the label didn't get approved in time. The chances of getting a vanilla are very slim as it is but now having zero shot at it makes me less likely to drive around hoping to find some regular and coffee especially with the KRE release Saturday.

 

I my favorite bottle shop opens at 10am and I expect them to have BCBS and variants; they haven't advertised or publici3: anything but I plan on being there when they open.... My only worry is that horrible weather here yesterday could have delayed deliveries.

On another note, I received a ninja box today (after weather prevented delivery yesterday) from @mbmiche with some deliciousness that I already started drinking. Will post pRon sometime tomorrow...
