Are BCBS and all of the variants getting nationwide distribution tomorrow? or is it only in the aformentioned cities in the first post? Last year my area didn't get their bottles in until the Tuesday after.

Kind of hoping for that. I'll be working tomorrow and all weekend. If I miss out on the variants I'll be less than amused.

When a distributor gets the beer in it is divided among the sales guys. The sales guys decide where it goes. They decide that by volume of the account and by who helps them out during the year ( new placements on all products they sell not just AB/INBEV products, the amount of displays they have, and placements of those displays in the store). They may have as little as 10 cases for 50 off premise accounts so they really help out and give special limited edition stuff to accounts that have helped them. Cheers

For a beer that is not even supposed to be released until tomorrow, sure has been a lot of it sold in advance. I am in Kansas City for the Holiday and earlier this week my brother-in-law called around to see who might have it, only to be told by more than one store on the Missouri side they sold their shipment a couple weeks ago. A couple of Kansas stores indicated they should have some Friday, but it was unclear how much and when. I doubt I will get any. Oh well, I had never even heard of it until this website.

I just found out today that according to their Facebook page the biggest volume beer store in my area began offering theirs last Saturday (regular, BW and Coffee), and was out of at least Coffee before the official release date. I suggested they must not believe they willl get punished with lower allocations in the future from InBev. Could the takeover have something to do with so many stores releasing early?

It is the distributors fault that happened. We have had ours in the warehouse for about a 3-4 weeks. If the Ab/INBEV reps for those distributors find out they did that they will get a good lashing out and may not get as much next year. The company sends a CRAP LOAD of money to advertise this promo. If distributors do not follow it the advertising does not work. The sales team at my distributor HAND delivers it to there accounts. It never even sees a beer delivery truck. It goes in the sales guy or his merchandisers van.

I am glad to see that there are batched that are circulating below 14%. That means GA is in the distro this year!

Even with the "well timed/synchronized" release though, with the backwards/delayed system here, it still may not all get to the stores for a few days/weeks... but some of the top accounts will be selling it this morning, I am sure.

And in a total dick move by the Kahns Ownership and the Goose Island Rep have cut the limits so don't waste your time going to Kahns. A guy in line here completely bypassed Chicago to get a case that had been advertised instead of going to Binny's and has been completely srewed. This is a move much like KBS did last year. And before you come on here claiming to trying to get your product out to more people the time to pull this BS move was a week ago not today. Total Fraud at least you would have given people the chance to make other arrangements and go two hours away instaed of 6. You can bet this won't happen next year.I'm glad I didn't make the drive!!!! But my boy got screwed.

People literally wait in line in the freezing cold to buy this, what advertising do they need to "work"?

GI should do more to promote the release of this. After all, it's already been 35 seconds since their last tweet and 2 minutes since the last news article about this was published.

My store was selling 64oz growler fills of BCBS for $28.99 and 4 packs for $18.99. I was definitely happy about the 4 pack price! I had them put my growler fill in 2 32oz growlers rather than 1 64oz. Another store in my area had bcbs and bcbbw. They had a 1 bottle limit on each. I ended up with 2 32oz growlers of bcbs 5 bcbs bottles and a bottle of Barleywine. I can't wait to try this! Good luck to everyone!
