bcbs black Wednesday - NYC

They're giving away glasses and had coffee. Even had some French doughnuts, I forget what they're called

 

A poster to take home. I think there were snifters but can't confirm. They also passed out beignets and had the Intelligentsia coffee from this year's batch brewed.

 

Case of BCBS is $151 out the door. Not bad.

 

Are they the same spieglau snifters as last year withy the bourbon county logo?

 

Yes but different year printed. They gave away snifters, coffee, t shirts, bottle openers, posters, and the first 3 in line got a hat. I was number ten. I walked out with vanilla rye, backyard and 2 coffee. I know the price on coffee was high but i have no other time to shop. When u factor in gas to drive to stores or trade it would cost the same. Sucked standing forever but they gave out a bunch of stuff and kept us entertained. From when it opened i was out in 15 min.

You were not required to buy the package. They said if u got a case of bcbs or their package you got a 10% discount. They broke it down on a paper they sent out

Very well organized event..I was 20ish in line and by 920 I was out the door with my goodies
Crazy long line..I feel bad for those that underestimated how many were going to show up for this event and expect to be on line by 8 and get vanilla without a problem..hopefully you score via other places

 

Says goose island black friday with a picture of a filled bourbon county snifter

 

I was about 110 in line and they had no more coffee or glasses left. It also took an hour and 15 mins for me to get in the door

 

They broke about 10 glasses while i was inside getting my bottles

 

POS system went down for about 30 mins. Ted says that bcbcs is just more expensive this year -- he's not up charging. He says that everywhere will be similarly expensive.

 

Out of coffee and '14 BW. Still some vanilla

 

I disagree with that- I've already bought 4 pack of coffee for $28

 

Bought some BCBS at holiday beverage in Staten island. Limit of two bottles, price was 14 and change out the door. They said they got way less than last year and did not get any coffee or BW like last year.

Just saw a pic from one store saying $6.99 for 12-ounces bottles. Is NYC really bring up-charged?

I went to a convenience store in Carroll Gardens that had them (no Vanilla Rye) - $8 BCBS, $15 Coffee.

 

Just grabbed a couple Coffees for $8 a bottle in BK

 

Got to Top Hops at 8, finally got into the store at 11 only to see the last variants be sold to the 7th or 8th person in front of me. Basically I waited in line for 3 hours to leave with one 4 pack of regular BCBS. Disappointing to say the least.
