Anyone noticed there are 2 versions of BCBS? Some are 13.8% and some are 14.4% The ones from October are the higher abv. I wonder if there's much of a difference in taste?

 

How much is barleywine this year? A store in asheville is charging $24

 

Did Lousiana get any Vanilla Rye?

I've heard we are only getting BCBS. Most places have said that they are just receiving their deliveries today.

Last year the coffee and barleywine dropped months after black friday, so there is hope. Albeit slim, fingers crossed.

 

I was able to purchase 2 4pcks of the Black Stout, BCBS (customer limit) and 1 Vanilla Rye (also customer limit). I passed on the barley wine and the coffee. I was not sure I would like those so I saved my money for other purchases

All 4pcks and the Vanilla Rye was priced at $18.99

Yeah...Hard decision but I passed not sure if I would really like. I'm sure it is good but I was thinking for the price it was a high gamble. I've lost that gamble too many times

 

Man I'm sure you coulda traded the Coffee. We had no Variants on Kansas :-(

 

NM saw about a 18% price increase on TW price point ($18 last year vs $22 this year). Other retailers went from $20 to $25. Yet they cut our allocation to only BCBS (no variants). I am saying, we are lucky to have received probably 20 cases for the whole state... And some rep tells us its based on total sales of everything they sell.. Sorry dude, other than The Illinois or other obscure seasonal type 4 packs, GI does not have any solid year round offerings. You sorta feel second rate. Yet I took the bait.. Yes that rhymes lol

One place had a 1 four pack limit. The other place had a 2 four pack limit. Last year I went to TW and saw BCBCS 8 days after black friday just sitting.. This year TW seems much more in tune with this release.

Something seems off. I think people were mad (deservedly so) last year with new state/accounts getting quite a few variants. So this year we're getting the shaft. I just don't really know where they all are going though. If I was able to get a case of BCBCS last year in a new market. Someones not doing their job somewhere down the line

Kind of weird. Here in So Cal I got a regular 4 pack at 13.8 abv at BevMo abv then I got another regular 4 pack at El Cerrito Liquor at the 14.4 abv. I wonder if I can taste the difference?

 

I snagged two 4 packs of the stout. Very excited to try this for the first time.

 

Struck out here in Detroit...favorite places to pick up great beer here had no clue if they were getting any. Waitlisted myself in one shop IF they get some. Oh well...at least there's football.
