I feel like even regular is sold out all across Chicago by now. Was it like this last year? I thought people said regular was easy to get on Black Friday...

Got a 4 pack and a Vanilla bomber after waiting for 4 hours. Could not find any more in the city and am now tired. Where is all of the BCBS, this year? I got so much, last year, and I was out of town for the actual release.

Someone must have come and cleared it out. Nothing here now at all.

There's definitely beer to be had out there. Plenty of stores will be releasing when they get theirs in the next weekish.

I think that's the trick, honestly. Everyone knows BCBS was released today, so people are casing every liquor joint in the area. However, in the next week or two, when BCBS will hit places is up for grabs, so you've got a good chance if you're diligent.

Great point. My impatience is showing. Hopefully lots of barleywine makes its way into my home!

    this.
harder and more expensive than ever to get this. up at 4:30 a.m., 4 stops, no Prop, no coffee, but 3 out of 5 ain't bad. had some fun along the way, but not sure if I'll be doing this next year. who am I kidding? I'll be doing this next year.

I got a 4-pack of regular, 2 bottles of BW, one Vanilla and one prop at DG binnys. They decided to limit those bottle amounts plus 2 coffee bottles, but they had ONE case of coffee and they ran out before I got to my turn. I was like 13rd or 14th person in the line. I was pretty disappointed with their decision on bottle limits, I mean I would be more than happy if I could only get one coffee bottle and call it a day. Also... What's up with the price hikes? It sure did hurt my wallet a bit. $26.99 for a bomber compares to $19.99 for a bomber last year? Are we in year 2020 or something?

you don't want to know what I paid at my "regular" place for a bomber of Vanilla. Supply/demand, I know. Almost passed, but wth

4 packs of regular ranged from $25.99 (jewel) - $32 (bodegas)
    Bombers ranged from $28 (woodmans)-$35(bodegas)
12oz variants ranged from $8 to $12.99 (fuck you small bodega in St. Charles that got bw and prop)

Saw someone say that Costco had 4pks of regular for $19.99 but I can't confirm that.

Some Costco's had no limits, and all were priced at $19.99. Most likely all long gone by now.

Mt prospect Costco sold out about 1-1:30. City Costcos sold out today too. One of the two i called went thru 90 cases according to the guy & both were sold out by early afternoon. Was 19.99 there as well.

I think with no limit you had many people buying 2-3 cases. Which is a dick move, since no logical being can go through 75 bottles of a 13% 700 calorie beer. Even the cellaring argument is bunk since you'll be getting more next year. Luckily there aren't too many people complaining of not getting any. If you put in the smallest of efforts you walked away from today with something.

Guy in front of me at jewel bought a whole case. The video game in me ran him over in the parking lot and stole the case. The real me laughed and proceeded to buy 3 4-packs.
