Black Friday In Texas

Pretty much sold out up north as well. All hebs I've checked are gone. The one on 1488 supposedly made the mistake of leaving the case out by accident and someone grabbed it....

 

Been pretty tough to track down coffee in Houston... Got 8 regular and settling for coffee on tap

 

Specs at bissonnet and weslayan in houston has the regular but its going really quick. I just got back from that location and picked up a 4pack. they're limiting it to one 4pk only.

Any word on Vanilla and coffee in San Antonio?

 

Whole Foods Domain started selling singles of BCBS & BW, I got a single BW which turned out to be bottled "09/17/13". They don't expect to get any vanilla rye, and there's no Coffee in Austin yet. Carry on.

 

No luck so far on either, hopefully we will get some.

On a happy note, no lining up at 230 am for beer. Walked in to Specs after 10 no problem.

Doesn't look like it. Hopefully we'll get it a weeks (or months) down the line like last year. What's up with Specs pricing? $25 and some change for a 4 pack. I mean, still worth it but thats $7 more than last year.

 

Not sure if this will help you, but the new Spec's in San Marcos had quite a few cases of BCBS and a few Vanilla bombers as of 3 hours ago.

 

not that it justifies Specs pricing but I did talk to a smaller beer store owner today (Beer and Wine world in Mansfield) and he said the case price was up 24 dollars over last year.

I walked in and got my 4 pack of BCBS and 2 of the BW. I am happy and didn't have to stand in line!

I was going out to Specs Dallas this morning but had a long late night with my 18 month old who has the flu and strep..

 

Struck out on Vanilla and Coffee. Heard a rumor that Smith St Specs got most of the vanilla.

 

What a fantastic beer though. My god it's delicious. I would love to try the base of this beer.

Well I was #1 in line at Specs Arbor Walk today (got there around 8:50) so got my Vanilla, but they sold out before I even paid for mine - looked like they had about 20 bottles. So it paid to get there a little early. Seemed like most of the HEBs that sell good craft got a case too - 3 different places up here in Round Rock had it today.

 

Found mine at Total Wine in San Antonio. They got four cases of BCBS and two cases of Barleywine, with a limit of two bottles and one bottle, respectively.

 

I heard the Gabriel's on Blanco (I think blanco) was getting Coffee. Not sure about vanilla.

 

Good Lord! Where was that? MUCH cheaper than anywhere else AND doing 4pks!
