Foodery Rox did an amazing job with this, not much I can complain about (although there was supposed to be free t-shirt but maybe they did not show up?) Very coordinated effort...

Can't believe how fast it went this year. Last year I had no problem getting a good amount of the regular several weeks after the release.

Seems like other parts of the country had lots more supply. Not worth the time IMO (and BCBS is one of my favs)...

Had my name on a "list" at Wegman's Allentown and they said they'd give me a call when it was in stock. Never got the call, but went in around 8:30pm and was told they were sold out. After I said I was on the "list" the guy begrudging said they had ONE bottle of BCBS for me for $4.99. Better than nothing.

Are the variants supposed to be priced different than the regular one? Or is it just the seller being a dick because they understand it to be rare/coveted?

Here is the thing, I grew up in SNJ right outside of Philly. Now I live down the shore, but still about 90 mins from Philly, I don't expect my local stores to have CASES up against the wall. But you would think a major hub like Philly wouldn't be treated like farm land USA. I get it NYC, Chicago, get a huge supply, but when you see in the hauls thread some places like FL, NH and the hauls they are pulling, multiple Coffee, Vanilla, BW and cases of regular and Philly is one bottle per person per shop, really?

Also, someone else pointed out, GI does these release events, so 1-3 shops in a semi major city gets ALL Variants, and the surround counties get scraps. Kinda annoying that the blessed stores get EVERYTHING. Now if they say well its up to how much GI you through, than the shop owners have an incentive to push their everyday line up, but as my beer managers say, who wants honkers ale? If I only carried that crap, I would just sell more Bush, Bud and Coors over that stuff. Getting beer, shouldn't be like winning the lottery. Seems like getting beer is a lot like sitting online on saturdays and buying concert tickets for a concert no where near your home, just to be able to sell sold out tickets on ebay for 3-4times the face value. People go buy beers just to trade. I have no issue in buying a couple beers to share or trade, but it seems like people are just buying beers that they almost interest in just to use as trade baits for heady or other styles of beer. Again, its one thing to take a shelf beer in your area like Gose and trade for XXX beer out of your home distribution, another to soak up BA Stouts one year only releases for your IPA fix.

Too many craft beer people in philly for our allotments. We dont buy enough regular goose island the rest of the year. And rightfully so their normal offerings suck donkey d-ck

Wegman's in Allentown is horrible with any popular releases. The "beer guy" there clearly holds everything for his buddies and most never see the shelf

Couldn't get out to a release or anything because of work but my boss was able to get a bottle of Vanilla and has promised to split it with me along with giving me a bottle of regular. I'll take it
