Downer said they were hoping for another shipment on Wednesday. 1st I've heard of a 2nd shipment, so take that for what you will.

I was first in line at Discount Milwaukee today. Got there at 6 am - yes, I know I'm crazy, but I wanted the vanilla. Discount did a great job as usual, and the other options they had available were great (BA Night Train, AleSmith and Avery stuff, Toppling Goliath, etc.). I think it was a better option than the Rays raffle, because even though I had to show up at 6, I was guaranteed a vanilla. And I didn't really have to show up that early - the next person got there at like 6:40...

That's good to know because I thought discount was doing something tomorrow I was confused by the wording in their post. Lol guess I am out of moves.

Was really surprised to hear that Whole Foods ran out of BCBS on Friday by 11am or so, for the last two or so years now there would be a ton of cases just laying around for a few weeks, not to mention it was pretty plentiful at other stores as well after release. Anyone know of any places on the East Side or anything that still have the regular BCBS? Just want a 4-pk of this year's, don't really care about the variants or anything since it's much too late for that anyways.

As a sidenote: Went to Discount with a friend around 6 or 7ish, and they still had a ton of Toppling Goliath, which was what I really wanted. Really glad about that, since I haven't had any of their beer yet, kinda thought it would have been gone by then for some reason.

What's the feeling on trading a vanilla for a NG peach? Can this get done. I'm asking for a buddy of mine who has a vanilla and really wants a peach.

Really? I paid 21.99 in Madison at woodmans. That is a strange price variation.

I'm not expert but probably 2 or more vanilla for one peach.

My guess would be it's an easy trade. Keep the vanilla...

He can decide what he wants to do with it (it's for his friend anyway). He's just asking for our advice/assistance on what a fair or typical trade for these beers might be.

The keep the vanilla part was coming from someone who didn't care for the peach. Honestly, I think 1:1 is fair. Especially give the difference in price.

While not exactly the East Side, I was just at Metcalfe's by West Towne Mall last night and they had two cases of regular left inside the walk in cooler. It would be worth checking the Metcalfe's in Hilldale as well, as on Friday afternoon they had about 4 cases of regular that were barely tapped into. $21.99 and no limit as well.

Hmm I would have thought 1:1 with the Peach giving a little something for the $ difference

I was the 6:40 nut - good chattin with ya man. It made the time fly by.

Just saw this response from Discount for those looking for cases of BCBS:

Discount Liquor We should hopefully get a second batch on Monday and then we will open it up to case purchases. See you then!

I believe that they were talking about the Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Stout in that comment.

Not a second shipment. Mike just didn't want to make his rep drive up on Friday. I would've expected at least one or two other stores around to do the same, but maybe not? Anyone know of any other on-sales that still remain? Do places like Sendik's/Pick-n-save get BCBS?

I got hosed and lied to in Madison (in some cases I'm ok with it to protect their local regulars), and was too late at Discount for anything but Barleywine (was there at 7:45am; kicking myself for not going to Waukesha).

Also, as an aside, just talked to a friend out in SF: the first couple dozen ppl in line out there got 2 vanilla, 2 4-packs of coffee, 2 4-packs of bw, and plenty of regular. New markets definitely got way more than us.

As someone with both in the cellar, I wouldn't swap a Wild Peach for a BC Vanilla 1:1, and I prefer stouts. Vanilla is just way, way easier to get.

On Friday both Woodmans and Ottos in the Falls said they were getting it on Monday. Not sure if that's still true or what they're all getting.
