Grabbed a couple BCBS 4 packs tonight from my local non beer geeky HEB. The bombers might be harder to come by but every HEB will probably get at least BCBS, if not BCBCS and BCBW.

Picked up 4 packs of Coffee (got the last one), Barleywine and Regular today at Kroger on Buffalo Speedway. Coffee distribution is so weird this year.

Had no problem finding BCBS and Barleywine yesterday but running into a bunch of trouble finding coffee. Suppose I need to survey the smaller shops?

I did a few days ago and didn't like it. Wish I figured that out before I wasted all that cash. Back to drinking Bacardi and Sonic slushes for me. More inconspicuous and no need for "proper" glassware.

They also had Bomb there randomly. Picked up a couple of bottles.

Boy, the trade expectations for Prop are insane...For shits and giggles I responded to an ISO: JK FT: PROP on another forum asking for what he was looking for ratio wise...his response was "5:1 of the rotating/seasonal wilds. Nocturne, Atrial etc."

So, $80 of brewery only releases for a $25ish bottle that was distributed all over the city...

The market will eventually calm down, always does. The long-play is the smart play if you're trying to trade for anything Bourbon County.

No way. There were not even close to 100 cases of vanilla in austin. More like less than 20 from what I understand.

Ah the Podunk special. At least you went with the fancy stuff (Bacardi) to class it up

Maybe this has already been discussed, but I had a friend grab a 4 pack of BCBS for me (he's not really into craft) and the guy at the store told my friend that the bottles he got were from the 2013 batch. Is there any truth to this or did the beer guy just tell my friend some BS?

Just tell him to look at the bottle and see what year it says

The beer spends a year in the barrel so technically the beer is a batch from 2013

Yes, we drank a bottle last night that @PatrickInAustinTx was kind enough to share. Typically hot, like all bourbon county beers are, but the vanilla was amazing (not too much, like I've heard some people complain about) and it was very drinkable. I would compare the taste to toasted marshmallow with a solid vanilla back.

As good as this was fresh, I can only imagine how much better it may be in 6 months

Haha right? I heard 14 cases in Austin but Round Rock isn't Austin so maybe there were more.
