They sold out, but they're reloaded at $39.99 before tax. Have to wait until the afternoon for the shipment to go "in the system".

Crazily enough, they ended up with 2 cases of Backyard Rye too...

Anyone know what Carmine Street Beers is charging and if they've gotten the VR in yet?

Interesting that they have limits on regular when last years can still be had fairly easily on some shelves.

Just left 9th Ave Vintner. The guy told me in order to buy a Vanilla I had to buy one of the 12 oz (Regular or Barleywine, they didn't get Coffee) and one Backyard Rye. Said limit was 1 on the Vanilla but I bought two Barleywine and two Backyard Rye. Prices pre-tax:

    Vanilla: $39.99
    Backyard: $35.99
    Barleywine: $8.99

Yep. Crazy I just walked in and out considering we waited outside Top Hops for 3 hours on Friday morning.

Funny, I went a couple of hours ago (9th Ave Vintner) after it was first posted and they said they were out completely. I even called before I left and I was only a good 15-20 minutes away and when I got there he said they were sold out. And I said, "In 15-20 minutes? I just spoke to you on the phone and you said you had some." He claimed they had lots yesterday but someone came in and bought the last one before I got there.

This place sounds corrupt. And what's worse is that people will pay those prices

    Anywhere else still have Vanilla?

Apparently New Beer only got regular, but they got like 50 cases.

Not true, they were selling Vanilla on Saturday apparently.

I did see a blip on Beermenus to that effect, but when I called today they said they never got any. I like how Goose Island sent around all those signs for bars/stores to put in front that said December 1st, but then all the places that had those signs sold all the goods prior to that date. Hate going out of town every Thanksgiving. At least I got to try the Vanilla on Wednesday night.

Think any more will hit the fan later this month?

I had the same experience. I would be very, very surprised if we were the only 2 people who saw that post and then went to go check on them. The guy I talked to said it was "flying off the shelf" and made no guarantees that it would be in stock.

Top Hops charged what, $28 for Vanilla?

Any time someone says I can avoid going into the city on a day off to wait 3 hours in cold weather for just $12, I'll happily pay.

Backyard Rye might have been the sweetest purchase there today actually.

Yeah, people claimed they bought it for $30 per on Saturday from New Beer. I never went, but they claimed so. They originally claimed they wouldn't sell it until 12/1...but that place has a well documented history of dishonesty too.

Yeah I figured as much. I went super quickly after that post went up and called so I figured my odds were at least good when he said they had some. He didn't say, but made it sound like, he had plenty left. I probably should've asked for a number. Anyway, I think the TH price was in fact correct and I believe that was excluding tax. So I didn't think $37 with tax was too crazy to be honest.

    I hate corrupt establishments.

Maybe they just got it in? When I walked in they were labeling the bottles of Regular and Barleywine and putting them in the coolers, and the guy had to go downstairs to get me the Vanilla and the Backyard. Seems likely that they just got the delivery in before I got there.

When I bought mine, the Bud truck had literally just pulled up and unloaded about 10 cases of regular, 6 cases of BW, 2 cases of Backyard, and 1 case of Vanilla. This was at about 11:45am and I had to beg the guy to sell me one before his boss checked in the new inventory "later on this afternoon".

Also the BW is from 2013... which is annoying...
