I guess it's possible, but as I said I called before I went and he said they had it in. I arrived 15-20 minutes later and he said it was all gone. No mention of getting more in. Could it have been an unexpected delivery? I guess it's possible but given that the prices increased and there were purchase requirements added, it just seems unlikely to me. And either way, jacking up the price and adding requirements is still corrupt even if I were to give him the benefit of the doubt on him receiving more stock.

I was there 20 mins ago (Vintner). Got the last Vanilla, there was almost a whole case of backyard left, plenty of BE and they had just opened a case of 2013 coffee.
More expensive than TH for sure but in and out with lunch in under 5 minutes, not bad considering that I'd traded for it.

I arrived at 11:45. Something just seems fishy. He had it 15-20 minutes before I got there but then didn't but then did again? I asked him like 3 times as well..."You sure you don't have any? I called you like 15-20 minutes ago and you didn't" and he claimed no.

Backyard is gone from Carmine St. Beers. It was 24.99 I believe.

Vanilla Rye might be the most underwhelming variant they've done yet. Had it on tap yesterday and was not impressed. So glad I'm staying away from this madness.

On the other hand, this year's coffee is one of the best yet. Pissed that my local place only got regular and BW in after getting 3 cases of Coffee last year. Oh well.

Hmm maybe I was there at 11:50? Like I said, the truck was just unloading the new stock as I got there.

No vested interest... just reporting what I saw. I also have no relationship/loyalty with these guys so it's not like they were giving me preferential treatment.

I got '13 BW in Jersey on Friday, but in the same case as '14... so odd

I have heard others state that having it on tap doesn't do it justice and that the bottled version tastes a lot better. I haven't had the chance to pop a bottle yet though so its all hearsay at this point....

Oh I totally believe you. I'm just irked by this store. Something seems fishy about them.

had the vanilla from the bottle and coffee from draft, and thought the coffee was much better. unfortunately i tasted the vanilla right after chewing gum so my taste buds were definitely not right...

yeah... like others have said, they sound a lot like New Beer in responding to inquiries. To be fair, if you get the older lady behind the counter at New Beer on the phone... youre probably not going to get accurate information.

I felt the exact opposite, the draft Vanilla felt more finished to me. Had more of a "bruleed" almost burnt sugar smokiness to it rather than just being straight up vanilla. I enjoyed both immensely, though Backyard is still my favorite.

I'm putting my bottle down to age. I thought the Vanilla Rye was tremendous on tap, but the vanilla flavor and the stout flavor were not blended at all. The vanilla on the finish was superb. I think it could definitely use a couple of years.

Have a few of the Backyard, but haven't opened any yet. I know fruit is supposed to dissipate over time, but, as with all BCBS bottles, it says it matures in the bottle for up to 5 years. Thoughts?

I am really hoping to bump into a Backyard Rye within the next few days. The Coffee is my girlfriend's favorite beer and I can only imagine that this would be her new favorite. Can't believe they're even hitting the city.

This is from Eagle Provisions' twitter:

Why the hell does craptastic Eagle Provisions get Vanilla Rye, when any number of other reputable shops missed out on a ton of stuff? So freaking annoying.
