Much like @mxracercam, AZ's story was similar.

All (3) 12oz variants and Vanilla available at Whole Foods. Got in line about 5:45a for a 7am opening. WF handed out donuts and most engaged in some good beer-talk with everyone around them. Even as people's friends showed up, they all got in the end of the line, no cutting, no fights, no arguing or riots. Whole foods sold breakfast and some of the BC stouts on tap. Line was pretty slow but got my 4-packs and a bottle of Vanilla and went home. Happily waited in line for a little over two hours but it saved me driving around, making calls and paying for Fed-Ex boxes.

I ended up finding a 4 pack in York on Tuesday night. I work in Lancaster so I knew about the Vanilla, Coffee and BW out here (no variants in York as far as I know) and decided to do that on Friday. Arrived at one location at 8AM and was 2nd in line for the 11AM release. Got my allotted 1 BCBS, 1 Coffee, 1 BW and 1 Vanilla and headed to location 2 for another 2 BCBS and had BCBS and BW on tap. Had BCBS on tap again in York the other night. So 7 BCBS, 1 Coffee, 1 BW and 1 Vanilla and spent about 5 hours doing so.

picked up two bottles of regular on Wednesday and slept in Friday. I went to Churchkey and waited 30 minutes in line for it to open and had my fair share of all four variants (regular included) that made it out of Chicago. Glad I didn't run around looking for any, and glad I had them on tap. Although I wouldn't mind a few bottles of each right now!
Churchkey ran the event really well.

Passed on chasing BCBS on friday, but headed to Lakefront Brewery in Milw. for their Black Friday BB stout....saw the line was still about 500 people deep, so passed on that too. (I know, I'm not hard-core enough). On way back through downtown, stumbled upon a little bar in the Public Market that had, among other top shelf taps, Backwood Bastard on tap, which is one of my favorite beers on earth. I had never seen it on tap and, while I know I'm in the minority here, I would take over BCBS any day. So, after 2 snifters of BB, I consider my Black Friday an epic win!

I literally walked into my local liquor store to pick up bourbon county and walked out in under 3 minutes. No lines, no hysteria, and the store will probably have it for quite some time.

had the pleasure of hitting up the Hammered Lamb in Orlando with @Mangbus , the night before Thanksgiving. They had a BC event and I was able to enjoy a flight (2oz of BCBS, BCBCS, BCBW, Vanilla each) for $7 and got a GI glass, key chain and a full Vanilla Pour on the house (shared it with Mangbus.) Watched a case of vanilla rye sell in 6 minutes at $45 or so per bottle. We opted to pass on that early bird ******. On Black Friday I showed up an hour early to Total wine and got my limit. Stopped by 3 ABC's on my way home and ended up with exactly what I wanted. 3 reg, 3 coffee, 1 BW and 1 Vanilla. Just enough to enjoy and not go broke. The Orlando scene seemed fair and relaxed overall. I'll do it again next year if the next price jump isn't much. I'm about at my breaking point. Plenty of other fine brews to be bought.

That sounds identical to my experience. Sometimes not living near a population center has its perks.

I wouldn't say plenty. You could maybe make the argument for CW BBS, but even that isn't everywhere in MKE yet. I was more disappointed that Whole Foods MKE who had 22 cases last year that lasted 2 weeks, got 19 cases this year that disappeared in 4 hours. If that isn't a head scratcher I don't know what is.

For Whole Foods- are you talking BCBS or CW BBS? It sounds like another shipment of BCBS regular is going to hit this week at a couple different shops, so that should buoy our supply. Distributors did a great job making it seem more limited by sending out smaller amounts w/ the variants this year.

BCBS. I talked to them Saturday and they said they shot through 19 cases with a 1x4pk per by 4 p.m. friday.

I guess it's more in his actions. You say one thing, almost to the point of scolding us for getting as little as we did (getting the scraps). Yet here he is 10 minutes later at another place picking up BCBS so freely.. Where is the GI IPA and GI 312 purchases? He's as bad as us. But I guess it's his job to tell us we suck

The Big Red release was very smooth this year. We were a bit behind you at around 8 and 16/17 in line and got plenty of good stuff.

Speaks to the ever-increasing popularity of craft beer in Milwaukee. Other cities (Denver, Portland, SD, even Chicago and LA) experienced a steep increase in craft beer sales at various times during the past decade. It's here to stay- once those numbers go up, they don't stop and they certainly don't go back down.
