Thanks, it sounds like I'll like it. I think the sweetness of the Pumpkyn/Rumpkin is mostly what kills it for me, in the past I've never felt a beer was too boozy, usually when I see that in reviews it means I'm probably going to like it.

I finished my visit to Avery with a Lilikoi (and a purchase of a bottle of Tweak). Wits are not my preferred style, but what an outstanding beer! I was instantly won over.

And I agree that it is fine just the way it is. A Gose treatment would add a salt note that probably would muddle the passion fruit note. It might be different if we were talking about citrus or gozu, but not passionfruit. Melon Goses really don't work for me, though.

At any rate, I hope Avery puts this into distro and sends it South.

Tweak is $12.25 for a bottle at Liquor Shed.

I split a Tweak today with my dad, and have to agree that for an 18% beer, you really don't taste the alcohol. But there ain't no doubt it's a huge beer. An 8% beer would never have that thick of a body. Each bottle must be like 800 calories. It was good (really good), but shit, I wouldn't want to drink it every day.

By my math it's only 346 calories.... so go ahead and have it every day

Drinking a Tweak right now. I'd love to do a drink off with the original version and this BBA version. Both variations are phenomenal.

Shared my Tweak with my pops on Turkey Day. Faaaantastic beer. No shock there.

Does anybody have info on the bottle limits for the double release on December 14th?

Curious if the 11 a.m. time is going to be a permanent change from the previous 1 p.m. release time. I know they changed Tweak due to weather, but maybe they liked the earlier release. Personally I think I'd prefer 11 over 1.

I would also prefer 11am and just based on my own conjecture, I'd imagine they'll stick with it through the winter just to be safe.

At Tweak I asked and was told this was to be the last release at the current location. I like the 11 am release as well, but the bottle share was kind of fun. Wish they would open the doors at like 1030 to get a bottle share going for the last hooray/ bottle release.

Didn't really see any bottle sharing at all at the Black Eye release but something can always be set up for after the initial release/sales. I did enjoy the rare beer tappings, but again, I can always sit down and drink beer after I buy bottles.

I also second opening the doors early on release days if they decide to make the new time permanent. Even if they weren't able to serve beers before 11 (liquor license, short staff, whatever) it would be nice to be able to wait in line inside. Just thinking ahead to those -15 degree days I'm sure were destined to get again.

Now that is an excellent point. No way I'm waiting out in a blizzard or sub-freezing temps when I know the beer won't sell out on the spot.

I like the earlier time, but they have to properly accommodate it. I showed up for Tweak before the staff did and it was only an hour before they opened. I ended up leaving and coming back later and they still weren't ready to let anyone inside until about 5 past 11. It's a minor complaint, but it seems easy enough to remedy or at least warn people about.

    ^^^Valid point for the future.

In beer drinking news, I'm two sips into my first bottle of Tweak right now and holy moly is that a chocolately, roasty, massive flavor bomb of a stout!

I know you probably have your hands full with the new location but what's next on that BA series?
