Oh, and don't hold your breath on that Quercus. It's going to be weird shit, for real.

I too am in the pro-Phil camp.

    When I met him on Saturday I did the Groundhog Day scene;
Me- Phiiiiiil? Phil? It is you!
An he IMMEDIATELY replied with, and I mean without one second of hesitation, "Ned? Ned Bryerson?!"

    It was spectacular.

Also, he was hella-fun to drink with-- ask him about the "table of terrors" if you dare!

I seriously think I drank more terrible beer than good beer that day. What was I thinking.

Me too. I was belching ToT Grand Cru until about 3 p.m. on Sunday... :grimacing:

Everyone who drank out of that snifter came away with the same look of disgust and shame...all braver men than I.

Every time Shogo is the topic of conversation, I count myself lucky to have met him in real.

Meeting Shogo in real life was like meeting that **** star you fantasize about, except at the end of the night he actually wanted to go home with me.

tangential to the main love fest, i'm glad sebago BA barleywine is getting love these days. i think i drank 6~8 bottles of that beer, and extra'd off at least 3. if they rebrew it, i hope it lives up to its previous incarnation.

I've been wondering about its history. Seems like they've been brewing it on and off since 2008 (just from looking at reviews on RB and here, maybe a batch in 08, one in 2010, and one in 2011?). It's damn good, so having some info might be nice. I think I'll email Sebago...

I always enjoy running into Shogo for a quick minute at the BA festivals. I still don't know how I made it home from that first tasting I went to with him after EBF Saturday sessions.

    My favorite post in history.

Shogo, I guess you will be just legend/lore for me if you are ditching. Live with that.

(Don't blame you, after I just saw ISO:Izzy-FT:KH. This place is getting f'ing dumb. But thank God for the AMAZING relationships I have cultivated here. Sorry you haven't been one of them. Yet.)

I still don't understand why you insist on single-handedly keeping White Birch in business, but the next tasting is gonna be INSANE (and probably our last at Beer Rev)

Meh, if repeat doses of Idiot's Drool (and a White Birch appearance at the last share, I believe?) couldn't dissuade Fraggle from letting these things continue, I doubt a bigger dose of White Birch'll do it.

    (Famous last words...)
