So I'm not really sure what you all think about the various Brouwers events but Bigwood has always been my favorite. Anyone else going? Anyone want to trade some stuff IP? Also I had a funny question:
What beer, released at one of their famous(notorious... no pun) special tappings, would like blow your mind? It's a two part question. 1) Realistic option 2) Obviously not gonna happen but would be badass.

    My answers are:
    1) A spicy (cayenne, chili, etc) KDS
    2) KBBS (never had it. want to)

    What about you?

I'm supposed to end up there that weekend, but it has yet to be confirmed. I'd be down for an IP trade given we have beers the other wants. Bm me, bud.

My answer to both of your questions is BA Abraxas. I haven't been to the event before so it somehow, in my mind, is both a viable possibility and a long shot.

    Cheers

I hate this time of year. There are so many great beer events going on, and I want to attend all of them. Of course I can't, and it just makes me very sad.

Have only been to Big Wood once (back when Alan Sprints came up with a keg of Bob), and it was amazing. Would love to go this year as well, but I'm pretty sure I won't be able to make it happen. Sigh...

The line-up looks to be absolutely killer (as usual). Would love to try the Blackberry Albert and the HOTD Ardberg AFTW. Oh well...

the ardberg aftw is a peaty son of a bitch...we often say a beer tastes like a biting a barrel, but this was like eating the entire barrel..in a 3oz pour.

If it's only one, it better be a big one. Tweak or Suge Knight?

Anyone know about the Tweak No. 1? This is the first batch from 2 years ago that was more coffee forward or the recent bottled version? I'm guessing it's the older batch but hoping someone knows more.

Yeah, I wish that Bigwood, Seattle Winter BeerFest, and Portland Holiday AleFest wouldn't all take place on the same week. Would love to attend all 3, but that won't be happening.

Have you had BA Suge Knight before? I haven't had much from that list, and bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout is a well-worn combo, but that beer is what you hope for when you taste a good stout and wonder, "what if they stuck this in a barrel for a while?"

Hhmmm. It was on a previous list. I hear the Eight is quite good after a couple years of not-so-good anniversary beers.

Holy shit do I agree. I split a full pour with a friend and glad I did. I could only take so much - the weirdest, most intense beer i've probably ever had.
