Just posted this elsewhere, but is this really all that surprising when Avery sells Tweak/Black Eye/et. al. for $12-$15 per? I may personally bow out at those prices, but clearly there's enough of a market that won't. Sad to say, but BC brews could probably raise their prices by 50% and still sell out at a similar clip.

BC stuff just showed up today at one place locally; Vanilla Rye sold out in a couple hours, i.e., the last bottle disappeared a few minutes before I wandered by. I think I mostly wanted it cuz MUST HAVE ALL THE BEERS, so I'm trying to console myself that I'll be able to get more satisfaction by spending that $40 (which I'm guessing is what this place charged) on other stuff. Still a bit bummed that I came so close and missed out anyway. If only I knew of a way to drown my sorrows...

 

For sure. When I was there one of the owners was trying to fix that. Stated it looks like we have surly.

Has anyone seen straggler deliveries of any of the variants in So Cal IE/OC area? I heard it was a possibility, just wanted to see if any have been seen.

 

I am checking on my usual local spots today since they tend to only get wed/thur deliveries. Although it will be in SD. I'll report back after I somehow walk out of the shops with my allocation of vanilla.

Yeah, I got up early on Black Friday and went to two BevMos only to have the guy in line in front of me buy the last four-pack both times, so if anyone hears of more making it to SD shelves, I'd appreciate a heads-up.

 

Definitely not fake...as I picked one up. As one poster said, it's a good beer but I'm not going to stock up like I did last year. Need to make room for the Cantillon I brought back from Belgium instead. 2-4packs of regular, one coffee and one BW is good enough for me. Cheers

 

Dimension Liquor in Lake Forest just got Coffee/Barley but no Vanilla

 

Just snagged one of each. Weird they didn't get any regular. I've gone to 4 places and no single location got more than 2 cases but I didn't go to Bradley's.
