Anybody know why this one isn't being brewed at the moment? For a brewery that's had such insane success with their BA stouts, it's weird to me that this one (or big John) isn't a yearly release. Is it because all their stout-making goes into BCBS?

They're still riding they hype of BCBS.

Give it a month before their solid, less-hyped released hit shelves. And when they do, i am hoping they don't follow the same vein of BCBS and increase 25-35% in price.

I grabbed a 2010 bottle from Binny's last week. Has anyone else had recently? How has this held up?

    Brand dilution.

Alternately, all the Cook County Stout is going into BCBS production.

Alternately alternately, the brewers are bored with it.

It's a shame either way; I haven't had the Muddy yet, but I've heard it's nothing special, and given that GI only releases BCBS once a year to the rapid hordes, it'd be nice to have a regular stout from them more often (Clybourn brewpub offerings notwithstanding).

The Muddy is... OK. Again, overpriced for what you're getting. Reminded me of Alderaan (non-BA Deth's Tar) with a few more spices thrown in.
