I was told that Long Island won't be receiving any, and it sure seemed that way at the stores I visited Monday...zero BCBCS to be found anywhere.

Damn, $14.99 for a bottle of the Coffee? That is insane. I paid $5.99 here in NJ. I can only imagine what they are trying to get for the Vanilla.

alot of places that I usually frequent (ones that don't price gouge) were selling the coffee for 14-15 bucks in queens and manhattan--so its not an anomaly.

I was actually going to be near Beverage Plus today and was gonna stop in to see if they had any Coffee but that is too much for a single bottle. I see they have Wulvers as well, but at a price too high for what I am willing to pay after putting so much cash down for BCBS and variants.

Beverage Plus usually has good prices and a very solid selection, so I often stop by if I am in the area, but these prices are insane.

I see they also have Velvet Merkin at $25.99....

I pretty sure i read that the price per case of BCBS and BCBCS went up like $25-$30 for the distros...so there is that. But like most of you i won't be grabbing these at those prices either. Then again Christmas is coming...

I heard that there may be a wave of BCBCS coming in the next week or so...I dunno if I believe it. That did happen with Backyard last year, but Backyard just arrived late because the label approval was delayed by the govt shutdown; or that's what I was told by someone, who heard from someone...

People were commenting about this with Top Hops. Ted explained BCBCS cost more this year. I've heard from another owner the same, BCBCS from distributor is double the price of BCBS or Barleywine.

Also with people not wanting to buy package deals for Bourbon County, blame the distributors.

They're forcing stores to buying thousands of dollars worth of random GI beer (Matila, Honkers, IPA, etc.) in order to get an allocation of BCBS and its variants. Unless you expect a store to soak up the cost of GI beer sitting on their shelf, I guess it's a necessary evil and you can always turn down buying and leaving it for someone else.

Drove to Queens today and got a 4 pack, drove home back to Suffolk in rush hour, ugh. I'm not telling how much I paid because someone would slap me. It better be as good as last year.

I highly doubt this, being that BCBS, BCBBW, and Vanilla were the same price per case. I will say more yes. If its double I'm buying 2 bottles one to throw at Goose Island and one to throw through a window at Intelligensia.

Someone either messed up or is being dishonest at some point in the distribution chain. I bought BCBCS from my Co-Op in Brooklyn for $21 per 4 pack, which was exactly the same price as the BCBBW. The co-op has a standard markup of 21% across the board.

Sadly, I also don't think it's as good this year.

Tell me when and where. I'll bring some straws for that BCBCS Spilled on the Floor variant.
