Does anyone know if they will be making Peruvian Morning this year? I've heard rumors that with all of the souring problems they've had in the past that they won't be making this anymore.

I was in Minocqua over the summer and they had a full row at the grocery store of Scotch, BW, and stout.

Heading home for the holidays always includes picking up a case of the stout to bring back to Vegas. With all the reviews I may have to up that this year.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I can't obtain the GI Coffee, ever, and I was hoping for a close second.

barring infection, all of CW BA beers tend to be available for 3-4 months. at least that's been the case around Milwaukee years past

Hinterland Luna is very good as is their barrel aged variety. Not like BCBCS, but good. If you are into coffee, Big Bad Baptist is ridiculously coffee tasting too.

When on, Peruvian Morning is arguably as good or better than BCBCS or Morning Delight, IMHO. We did a side-by-side earlier this year with '12 PM and '13 BCBCS, and consensus was that BCBCS had better aroma and mouthfeel but PM had better flavor.

I actually liked Peruvian Morning better than BCBCS and KBS. I'm not a coffee drinker, though. Peruvian Morning is not as coffee heavy as the other two.

To me PM has as much coffee flavor as BCBCS, it's just a lot smoother / less bitter (which may be what you're talking about).

What I can't believe is how well the coffee has held up in cellared Peruvian Morning. We cracked a '12 BCBCS bomber recently and there was little coffee flavor left, and even '13 BCBCS has noticeably fallen off, but '11 and '12 PM seems to have almost as much coffee as it did fresh. Maybe something different about the way that CW does their coffee versus GI? Of course, whatever they did different also obviously has had its drawbacks. :-(

Depending on the store, CW BR offerings are $13.99 or $14.99. I still have a couple of bottles of the '14 BRBW that I'm sitting on until the '15 comes out. Looks like I'll have to go to Casanova's in WI to get the Scotch Ale and Stout, this year.
