2014 Bourbon County Brands release - Chicagoland

Well, part of me finds it hard to believe that any of the bottles would still be holding up, but the other part of me wants to go home, crack my last bottle, and find out.

 

This is cool - mind saying where (or even which burb or neighborhood if you're concerned about your spot)?

I only ask because this is the first I've heard of second-wave bombers - all the small shops around me got the 12 oz only (tiny amounts of BW and coffee, but at least some).

Is anyone else a regular at Rayan's at Clark and Wilson? I asked awhile back when I was in there, and they said BCBS for regular customers only. I'm a regular, so I check back in recently, and no one seems to know anything. Just wondering if they'd already sold through it, holding it for others, etc.

I've mostly decided I'm all set with BCBS. But a little voice in the back of my head keeps whispering stuff like, "You only got two bottles of BCBCS...don't you want a couple more to make it a complete pack? If you had a second pack of BCBBW, you could drink one and cellar the other". I hate that bastard voice.

 

Many of us reading this post understand that voice (love it or hate it).

 

Part of me wishes all of the stores got their allotments and sold out of them already, because I think that may be my only chance of that voice going away. I'm really getting sick of hearing "I don't know when were getting it, but check back later". I feel bad for the guys who have to pickup the phone and deal with me, but for god sakes give me a straight answer, someone!

I couldn't say - stopped in around 10:30 and they said release around 1. Got there at 12:30 and there was only one other guy looking for it. I didn't ask how many cases they got, but considering the location and the sheer amount of AB products they probably go through...

 

I hear you but that is just reality, bro. We are each empowered to decide for ourselves how much commitment we make to the chasing, hours spent in line, time spent online tracking updates, etc etc (ad nauseum). To each his or her own.

Just stopped by from Belmont station...only regular left.

 

One regular 4pack at 1000 when I stopped in a few mins ago. Everything else gone.

 

Thanks for the updates! I'll be passing by 1000 Liquors in a couple hours, good to know I shouldn't bother stopping, especially since doing so would entail finding parking, fiddling with the parking meter app, getting the kids out of the carseats, etc.

 

Everytime I get a voicemail, I think its someone calling from a liquor store that has me on a list. It never is.

 

Evolution just posted on the Facebook that theirs is in. Don't waste your time. It's a list. Sweet of them to plaster it on social media though. Look what we have that you can't buy!!!

 

But people who have prop say they're still amazing!!! Want to trade everything you have to find out? Ha.

 

Found a shop in Monee that is selling barleywine for $10 a single.
