did they ever say exactly when they would be shipping for the people not going to the party?

Also any info on wax color for this years eclipses?

 

I believe in the past they have started shipping the week after. I have not seen any info re wax colors and they have not updated the wax color guide on their website.

 

A bit off topic, but what are the requirements to be an awesome BA? Akin to beers being rated to a 4.0 average on this site, I feel like the ratings of BAs are also inflated. And before you accuse me of not rating to a 3.0 average, I will admit that I have not always rated to a 3.0 average. While that would be a true statement, if you were to make it, it would be irrelevant to my point. So let's just get that out of the way. Moving on, it seems that if you have a face and a BA handle, you qualify as an awesome BA. I mean, if everyone is awesome then nobody is truly awesome, or else the word awesome has lost its meaning. What about the BA with uncontrollable gas that's lighting up the room, is he awesome? What about the guy who is vomiting in the corner one hour into the tasting or the guy hitting on people's significant others? Awesome BAs? They may have brought a few good beers, but there must be more requirements necessary to meet in order to qualify for the designation of awesome. In San Diego I hear people say Iron Fist is awesome, but also that Alpine is awesome. We're watering down the English language, and I think we should use more varied vocabulary. The guy crop dusting at the tasting is probably "meh-". The guy vomiting in the corner is "not worth seeking out." Anyway, I'd like to see the rating of BAs move more toward a 3.0 average, and that's not going to happen if everyone is rated awesome.

MASTERPIECE ECLIPSE:
This year we have a brand new one-of-a-kind Eclipse product to present to you: Masterpiece. In early 2013, FiftyFifty was very fortunate to get nine freshly emptied barrels that had been filled at Stitzel-Weller in 1991. Yes, the original Pappy. To commemorate this we brewed a Double Imperial Stout worthy of these barrels, and aged it for 18 months. Original Gravity of 31.5 Plato, 80 IBU's and 12.8% ABV. We bottled this into 750mL bottles, hand waxed and numbered, with a custom neck label. We will be selling these at the party for $45.95.

BOTTLE LIMITS:
None. Enough said.

COMMEMORATIVE BOTTLE:
Of course we will be having our commemorative gift bottle for everyone! Be sure to save your ticket stub to pick it up the morning after. You’ll find out the style in about 28 hours…

FUTURES:
If you plan on picking them up Thursday before the party, if you could give me a heads up, that would be great. It will help me a lot to know roughly how many to expect.
